This week's album comes from 1992. It's Alice In Chains' sophomore effort Dirt. The album reached as high as number 6 on the Billboard 200, and as of 2000 has been certified 4 X Platinum by the RIAA. The album had 5 singles, all of which are very good in my opinion except Angry Chair, that one is just okay to me. This is typical AIC subject matter, gloom, despair and agony on me (I stole that line from He-Haw, I bet not many of you remember that show).
You know, in my opinion, this is one of those albums with some very good songs. And an album with some crappy songs. And that's just it. Either it's very good to me, or it's crappy to me. The only song on the album that is somewhere in between is the aforementioned Angry Chair.
As far as the album cover goes, I like it. No particular reason why, it just appeals to me. The album is still readily available. You can get it new from Amazon for a little over 7 dollars.
