CLASSIC ROCK BOTTOM GIVEAWAY

As I promised on Friday, it's time to do a giveaway. We're gonna do this in the form of a contest. If you haven't noticed, there is a new feature on the main page of CRB. That new feature is called "Leader Boards". I can configure the Leader Board to show which member adds the most content in various areas, like videos, pictures, blog posts, discussions and so forth. I can also configure it to show these leaders over the last day, week or month. Our contest and giveaway is gonna be based around this new feature.

I have configured the Leader Board to show the Top 6 Members for CRB over the last week. Now, this doesn't mean that all of the remaining members are insignificant, it just shows which members add the most "quality" content. Quality content is the addition of threads and replies to other threads. Right now, I'm on the top of the board. Since I own the site, it figures that I add a lot of content. And as you have probably already figured out, I'm the only member who is not eligible to win one of the five prizes. All other members are eligible. And it's pretty simple. All you have to do is be one of the Top Five (excluding RJhog) when the contest is over and you will be a winner. The contest will run for 1 week, starting at 7PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 and ending on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 7PM. The top 5 names on the Leader Board at that time (again, excluding RJhog) will be the contest winners.

So, what do you win. Well, I have 5 brand new items waiting for you to choose from. As an added incentive, each winner will pick (determined by position on the Leader Board) the gift he or she wants. So the highest ranked member at the end of the contest will pick first, then the second highest and so forth. Since this is a tremendously long thread, let me get to the part where you see your gift choices:

As I said earlier, all of these items are brand new. You don't have to do anything except post great content. So start posting. You can check back throughout the week to see if you are on the Leader Board, but don't forget, if you check on Thursday, that Leader Board is for the week prior to that time. The closer it gets to the end of the contest, the more accurate the board will be. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
