Classic Rock Bottom

I recently had a chance to see southern hair band, Every Mother's Nightmare in concert. For those of you who weren't familiar with the band (they had one big hit back in the day with Love Can Make You Blind), EMN put out a few really good albums. Their first two albums (self-titled and Wake Up Screaming are really good, and their third album, "Smokin Delta Voodoo has its moments). With the exception of lead singer, Rick Ruhl most of the band is different now, but they still sound like EMN, only with a more modern sound. A couple of years ago they put out an EP called Grind, which was really good and contained five songs. It was basically only sold at their shows and out of their car trunks. A couple of years later, Grind got rereleased only with additional songs making it now a full length album. I will be honest, despite being a Southerner, I had pretty much forgotten about this band, but after seeing them live and hearing the new album, I am back on board. This thing rocks.

Oh and in other southern hard rock news, I always found out that another southern hard rock favorite from back in the day, Tora Tora has signed a new record deal and will be recording a new album in 2018 for a late year or early 2019 release.
