After the runaway success of last weeks post, I've been asked by just about everyone I meet when I will post the remaining 5 albums that influenced my musical life. Have to admit, I was sooooo inundated with inquiries about this that the idea kinda started to lose it's luster. But as the old saying goes, fans are always right, and I'm all about my fans - or something like that...
So here's the remaining 5, and as a reminder these are not ranked in any way, in fact as time goes on the list would like change. For example, Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree could easily have been added to this list as a couple of their albums have really changed the shape of music for me, but alas, I'm sticking with the core 10...
I'll lighten it for the first two tracks and then we'll get back to the heavier side things...
Enjoy!

I wonder why "they" haven't made a Super-Deluxe package of "Who's Next" yet? The Quadrophenia is AWESOME!! The Tommy is just okay. I haven't bought "My Generation" which was released recently.
I have to hope, that WN will get the super deluxe-treatment before long. Next Christmas?
"They" should definitley do the ultimate Lifehouse-package, you know: all the tracks, that was intended on that double-album, but also alternative versions, and a 100+ page book and stuff. Just do the same thing, that was done to Quadrophenia. Before I got that Super Deluxe version a couple of years ago, Q was not as big an album in my mind, as WN or Tommy. Now it certainly is.
I'm surprised, they haven't done it yet? Just as I'm surprised "they" haven't released a Blueray of "Let It Be"-the movie, but that's another story. Or a Super Deluxe verison of "A Night At The Opera". I guess, they don't need my money.
I had that Poco album on 8 Track. I thought it was just ok. But I did have it.
First time I ever heard of Pablo Cruise was a couple of years ago when Will Ferrell wore a PC shirt in one of his movies. Before that. I thought it was a video game where you cruised around San Pablo. No, wait....I'm thinking of Outrun. My bad. Think you've featured this song before.
Still have that Who album on cassette which you did not mention. So I'm guessing you do NOT have it on all media. Tiffany does not like liars.
Triumph is, well, Triumph. Never bothered to get this album but have this song on something. Maybe you can have a series on song titles featuring the word "line". Just another one of my brilliant thoughts. You're welcome.
The pick scrape did not make me "take notice" or anything like that. But I do speed up when I hear them there sirens in that one song because I think the coppers are after me. When I'm safely hidden away, I laugh at my silliness.
Back to Poco.....that horse would have been easy to draw for a kid. Just a bunch of squiggly lines.
Ok, none of these albums had an affect on me except for maybe the one by The Who. That made me want to pee on stone monoliths. It also gives me the urge to pee on any rectangular monolith whenever I watch that space movie that takes place in a certain year (or two) and features an odyssey or something like that.
PC - Yep, nothing wrong with this type of soft rock. I remember the song quite well, but I did not remember that Pablo Cruise performed it. It was quite nice to hear it again. Wait a minute, that's Poco. Somethin's screwy here. Okay, I see, the first two tracks are reversed on the player. I've never heard the actual Pablo Cruise tune, though I do think I now have A Place In The Sun on vinyl. No, wait, I have heard it. What was their big hit? What You Gonna Do or something like that. That was a great song. Makes me think of an album I really liked as a young teenager. It was by Wild Cherry, but it wasn't the one with Play That Funky Music. It had a great cover of It's The Same Old Song and it had a great cover:
Right? Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's long out of print and very likely never available on CD.
Triumph - Amazing tune. Such a moodiness at the beginning of the track. Probably my favorite Triumph song.
April Wine - Here's a band that I never really listened to back then. I do remember their big hit or two, but that's it. This isn't a bad tune at all. Pretty aggressive guitar playing. I'd like to pick up more of this band's catalog. I have two albums, but this isn't one of them. You know, the singer sounds just a bit like John Waite here. Nice track.
The Who - Not familiar with this band. Who are they? Seriously, the album that I owned (or it found it's way into my stash without me owning it, not sure) was Who Are You. And that title track would have my vote for greatest rock song ever written. But this album, top to bottom, is amazing.
Nice work Scott. I enjoyed this two-parter.
