Classic Rock Bottom

Interesting week with this tour. You know, the one for "the fans" (and yes, I can keep mentioning this until you get sick of it).

Someone took offense at this comment:

"Yeah, I can understand you not wanting anymore Fleetwood Mac. I think you're right and it should END."

After this comment was posted, SOMEONE (name withheld) took this COMPLETELY out of context, fired out some nasty emails, alerted management, arranged a press conference and basically stated "a certain member of this tour is not playing well with others and is using the media for nefarious means trying to derail MY fun and backstabbing and other stuff and I just don't know how long I can deal with this. Hey, where's my damn Beer Nuts?"

Yes, the above comment was posted by me and was obviously taken completely out of context. Have no idea how anyone would think I was tired of out latest tour and how I want it to end.

What's even worse is when this SOMEONE (again, name withheld) has the gall to have his press conferences, meetings, etc. and not invite me so I can defend myself, but rather have one of his many ITC (Illegitimate Tour Children) sitting in, like he's trying to send a message that I can be replaced.

Replaced by someone with the name Foxposse? I think not!!

Another thing was the mention of Pabst Blue Ribbon and how I supposedly will want him to give up this delicacy. This too is untrue. I don't mind having a cool, crisp PBR in my hand when were done with the show, what I don't like is having SOMEONE (yet again, name withheld) demand that all drinks, especially PBR, be served at or well below room temperature.

This is what I have to deal with!

No matter. Trooper that I am I forge ahead.

Crap, almost used up all my allowable keystrokes already!

This week we have Lindsey Buckingham's second solo effort, released in 1984, aptly titled "Go Insane".

I had purchased his first solo album and it was ok, kind of weird in a way. This one though is a really good album, my favorite LB solo album so far. Remember, I'm a rocker and like my stuff to rock and there's quite a few tracks that rock here. Maybe not heavy, but rock nonetheless. Great geetar work as usual.

Did I go overboard with "rock"?

Even though the album was not a massive bestseller, the title track was a Top 40 hit.

Imagine that.

Or not.

That is absolutely sensational!

The picture, the album or the issues with the tour?

Picture!

I agree 100%

I read every word of this post and then immediately forgot the subject, artist and commentary when this picture came up...

Sigh. Guess I have to delete the picture. It is a MUSIC site ya know. It's just eye candy, something to gaze at while listening to some tunes.

Try to do something nice and look what happens....

I love his geetar work, so innovative and unique.  Hes always doing some cool work, but heres the problem.  If you own a couple of his albums its enough.  Because the song structures are recognizable, that said, they are great songs with catchy hooks and pop beats.  But its not enought to go purchase unless you own none of his work.  I own Law and Order and Out of The Cradle, why I skipped buying this one I couldn't tell you.  But I think the two I have are perfect representations of his work...

You hit the nail right on the head. I had Law & Order on vinyl, never have replaced it. It's this album I always come back to for an LB fix. I have Out Of The Cradle on CD, but rarely listen to it.

It's an okay listen, but too much 80's-sound for me. He's got a cool singing-voice, though.

Wow, that picture...

This is very decent.  He can be quite weird at times.  Go Insane is a tremendous song.  And Slow Dancing seems like it would work better with Stevie Nicks on backing vocals.

Loving Cup is a song I've never heard until now.  It's killer.

Dude is a terrific guitar player that doesn't have to shred.  Awesome.
