Ladies and gentlemen, I is back!
Took a couple weeks off doing this because of the holidays and other stuff going on, but it's a fresh year and I have a fresh batch of albums to either introduce to you or reacquaint you with. How nice!
This week's pick is the 1989 "solo" album from then Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin. I guess you could say this came during some downtime for Yes since an album came out in 1987 with the next coming out in 1991, but who really cares? We're not talking about Yes.
But, this album sounds like 80's Yes, minus Jon Anderson's distinctive vocals. It's the same prog/hard rock hybrid, with Trevor's geetar obviously very prominent. If you don't like 80's Yes, then you won't like this album. If you do like 80's Yes, than you'll most probably like this album.
You might recognize the first two songs since they got some airplay (especially the second) so it might bring back memories. Or, if you're like me, it won't bring back memories. You'll just say something like, "Oh yeah. I remember this song. What the hell was I doing back then? Oh well, no matter, I've got better things to do then think about what I was doing way back then." And then a couple minutes later you'll say to yourself, "I remember! I was driving without a license and then this song came on the radio and I started driving really fast and the cops spotted me and pulled me over and then threw me in jail for a couple nights. All because of that damn song!"

Clueless on the MSOTW... So lets play this out...
1 - American Band and singer?
2 - Was it a current MSOTW, post PODSNACK or FILEFACTORY?
Still nothing...
1 - American or not?
2 - What do you mean by "pretty successful"?
1.American
2. They've been around for over 20 years with the same band members so I would think that's "pretty successful", no? Just a shame they really don't get too much notice.....
No clue! Need more clues....
When you say 20 years, do you mean 20 or more or 20 or less?
Is this a headlining band? Or one with a cult following?
Really lost on this....
More than 20.
Headlining....kind of
Definite cult following, for those that like awesome music
