Dear Scott,

You made a request for this and I'm honoring it, my little snuggly oompah loompah lambiechop honey bunches of oats.

Dear Everyone Else,

You may listen to it as well. It's "On Air" from Alan Parsons released in 1996 and it's about man's fascination with flight.

And just to beat this to the ground:

On Air

1. Blue Blue Sky
2. Too Close To The Sun
3. Blown By The Wind
4. Cloudbreak
5. I Can't Look Down
6. Brother Up In Heaven
7. Fall Free
8. Apollo
9. So Far Away
10. One Day To Fly
11. Blue Blue Sky

Availability: From $6 up to $170.

MSoTW: Scott please do the honor and reveal last week's mystery song. I must say that I am very depressed that only Scott knew so I'm thinking that some people need to go thru a remedial classic rock band course? This week's is very easy, you'll figure it out between your studies.

Wow a double whammy for me!  YES!  I get the fulfillment of a request and the joy of the revealing last weeks MSOTW which was...   "Without You" by Boston!  From the Corporate America release.  Good stuff if you ask me...
So, it was Boston. Interesting. Interesting that it was Boston, yet nobody guessed it was Boston.
I was surpirsed that the guitar solo didnt give it away.  That guitar sound alone is a strong clue...

Nice picture!

I'll listen, as soon as possible to the album, but I did listen to a minute or two the MSoTW, and it sounds like Simon Le Bon on vocals, but it's probably not Duran Duran. Could it be the side-project "Arcadia"?

I got this one as well...  Niels - I recommned not overthinking this one...

Okay, then: It's Duran Duran!
I agree, sounds like Duran Duran, but I don't know the song.
Make it 3 for 3!  Duran Duran, and I will throw in that I think its from their Wedding Album...  Now where is this weeks picture of Kylie ...  I mean Lost Album?
I don't recall, that I've heard a lot of Alan Parson's Project before, but that's quite allright, because It's too "soft" for me, like STING ("I can't look down") or Toto (the singer sounds a bit like Steve Lukather, and HE has made some BOORING Toto-songs). I need some R-O-C-K!!!!!! A couple of the tracks are okay, though: "Blown in the wind" and "Fall free". By the way: Is Christoffer Cross a member of the band? I did'nt know that. I like HIS voice, and "Theme from Arthur" is a GREAT song, by Burt Bacharach.
I'll give you rock next week....

Man, this is a good album Jon.  I like the laid back feel of it.  Some parts even have a little jazz feel to them.  So Far Away was a previous mystery track.  That's the one with Christopher Cross singing I believe.  The only two songs that bored me were the last two.  Everything else was good.  The best tracks to me were Too Close To The Sun and Brother Up In Heaven, which is a beautiful song.

Very nice selection this week Jon.

I typed a nice reply and it got lost by a stupid Windows error!  Thanks Microsoft!  Heres an attempt to duplicate that post...

Nice album!  Little slower tempo than I had expected but I am not surprised by that.  Parsons is a craftsmen, a perfectionist for sure!  There are some bands that you really appreciate because of their quirks and flaws, others because they have none and its as ejoyable to listen to that quality as it is to listen to the music.  Parson writes impecible tunes.  Whats even cooler about this release is the pieces of Floyd, Ambrosia, that are present in the production work he has done here.

Very Cool!!!
