Classic Rock Bottom

This week we're going alllllll the way back to '97 with "When You See The Sun" from The Jason Bonham band.

Of course there are going to be the mandatory comparisons to Led Zeppelin, someone even going as far to state that the lead singer sounds like Robert Plant, which I find a bit odd since he sounds more like Chris Cornell to me. But what do I know?

What's really cool is that John Bonham is on two tracks ("Can't Go On" & "Out On The Prey"). How did they do that? It's a miracle!

This reminds me of a story...I was at a friends house after school one day when we heard that John Bonham had died. I yelled "Holy sh*t!" quite loudly and was told to leave their house. He was no longer my friend. And looking at his picture in the yearbook, I wonder why I hung out with him at all. He was quite a geeky looking sort.

Honestly, I really have nothing to say about this album except to that's it's really good.

That picture, makes me think of KISS. A big wet one.

Where do you get these MSOTW?  I think your the only one in the nation that knows this one, never heard it or of it and nothing about it is familiar.  We are yet again at the mercy of RJ ...

The Bonham stuff is interesting, I hear the Zeppelin-esqe parts that you refer too and I agree with your Chris Cornell connection.  Ordinary Black and White is the best track, not great, just the best of the bunch.  The album as a whole falls short of being average.  Its just not very good to me, and Ive always wanted to root for him to be great!  I mean what a legacy he has.  And as such one woudl think the resources available to him would be unbelievable.

But here again he's not holding up to his promise, kinda like that famous scene in Animal House when they are reviewing the new pledges and they come across Dorfman's picture...

Great, now I have to think about that movie and try to dredge up that scene, or pop in the..........I remember it now. Movie screen and stuff tossed!

Mystery song is easy:

No More Riders by The Hollies

Let's see Kylie next week!!!

Seriously?
C'mon bro!!!  Admit it...

I'm NOT saying, that you're cheating (or forgetting birthdays!!), BUT......what do you know about The Hollies, RJhog??

I'll bet, that you're right. Those vocals, sure belongs to whatshisname, from CSN&Y, therefore Hollies. Graham Nash? Stephen Stills (Uh oh!!)

I know so much about the Hollies that sometimes, all I need is the air that they breathe.
Again....seriously?
Dead serious!
Ok...I think we need a vote to see if you cheated. Maybe you are a huge Hollies fan, but then again....
So are you finally admitting that I'm dead right?  No more puffy ladies, just Kylie, I believe that was the deal.
