Classic Rock Bottom

This week we're going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back to 1991 and the self-titled and onluy album from Shadow King, featuring some singer guy from some band called Foreigner and some guitarist guy that would later join some group called Def Leppard.

I dunno...I don't like it. But my thinking was, since they only put out one album, they must not have been really that popular and since the album is out of print, must be something a little lost and maybe forgotten?

Still...I don't like it. Just doesn't click with me. Not that I want to trade it or get rid of it, 'cause that's not how I roll. I have stuff I don't like that I keep, stuff like Def Leppard's "X" & "Adrenalize",

Aerosmith's "Honkin' On Bobo", Van Halen's "III" and many more with the thought process being, as I get older, maybe I'll appreciate those albums more. Ain't happened yet though but I still have many miles to go before I sleep.

Now, note how I ended that last, long-winded paragraph: with a literary quote (kind of). That's just to show that I'm "hip", if you know what I mean.

But yet...I still don't like this album.

So here's my review of this album: kinda sucky Foreigner.

And I don't like it.

Let's try and go back to the good old days: MSoTW is an european band, right? Are they english? Is it from the 2000's? Are they know to other people but MSoTW Man??

Guess MSoTWman will just have to swoop in and save the day.
So you don't want to play?????
No, not at all. Go to your saviour. Go to MSoTWman, MSoTW Man or whatever he calls himself this week. See if I care!

OK , not a flattering picture of Martha Davis who defintely had moments of sexiness back in the early 80's.

Ive never heard the MSOTW song and nothing about the "artist" is ringing any bells...  Can MSOTWman please save us one more time?

The LAOTW isnt really doing anything for me either.  The first 4 tracks is all Ive made it through so far.  And Ive not heard anything I like yet...  Will be back for more though...  why? I dont know, but I will be back...

I really don't like the album...just sayin'

SO I went back, strating with the track BOY, and finished listening to this album.  After this sitting I can truly say this album should stay Lost.

There is something magic that happens when Lou Gramm and Mick Jones write music together.  Jones can still write a great riff and cool tune without Gramm, and from this album it seems that Lou struggles to find that magic without him.

This is one for the round file ...

Just for the record...I don't like this album.

Hey, MSoTW man retired after last week's triumph, don't you all remember.  However, since I'm being called upon by my constituents, I'll save the Mystery World one more time.

First, I have this to say.  Sometimes folks try to throw you a curve.  Some guys are even very good curve ball pitchers.  Mysomama is a fantastic curve ball pitcher.  And let's face it, it all boils down to the fact that I'm no hero.  I put my pants on one leg at a time, just like you do.  But, once my pants are on, I hit curve balls out of the park!

Regarding the mystery song, the Loudness of the track isn't quite what Mysomama would have you believe.  Just like Clockwork, he tries to play with you like you are a Toy.  But I here Thunder In The East, which is why I just hit a tater!

If you look closely, I've hidden what Mysomama wants you to believe is the answer to the mystery in my previous paragraph.  But as I'm rounding the bases, I'll reveal to you that the real mystery song and artist is:

Band: Onward

Album: Reawaken

Song: Clockwork Toy (cover version of Loudness' song from Thunder In The East)

And with that folks, I am officially retired.  Thank you for all of the love and support through all the tough weeks of trials and tribulations, but now I'm going to Disney World!

And it's time to fess up I believe.

I mean c'mon. This is the same guy that doesn't have a Judas Priest album but has or knows about an album from a band called Onward?

Something's fishy here. Fishy I say! Fishy fish fish FISH!

Yeah, but you don't want to play with me
