Guess the artist and name of the album is pretty easy top figure out, what with the picture above of sweaty guy's forehead.
This is the solo album from the Loverboy guitarist, another guitarist who has a distinctive sound. Fat, maybe? A guitar guru can describe it better than me, "fat" comes to mind but I'm probably way off.
Not a bad album, sounds a bit like Loverboy here and there. Tons of songs from outside writers (Bryan Adams, Brian MacLeod, Jon Bon Jovi, Paul Stanley, Desmond Child and more). A decent listen, no something you'd want to use as a coaster.
Album came out in 1989, which was after the Loverboy craze. (Was there really a craze? And admit it, even though you liked the songs did you ever admit you were a fan back then? I mean the name itself...Loverboy? "Yeah that new Metallica album smokes! Picked it up with the new one from Loverboy." Just didn't fit.)
I believe "Sword And Stone" may have received some airplay, the song is familiar. Maybe not from Paul Dean but from some other group?
So there it is, short and sweet. Dunno, still coming down from the roadtrip I guess, just throwing this up to have something for you to listen to next week.
