Classic Rock Bottom

This thread is inspired by the latest edition of Scott's Hidden Treasures, which you can find right HERE.  Basically, I want you to rank the following 5 bands based on their level of success since originally changing their primary lead vocalist, with the number one ranking going to who you think was most successful and number five being who you think was least successful.

I will list the old vocalist and the new vocalist beside each band that I want you to consider (for instance, with Van Halen it's David Lee Roth to Sammy Hagar, not Sammy Hagar to Gary Cherone).

Here are the bands in alphabetical order:

AC/DC (Bon Scott to Brian Johnson)

Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbourne to Ronnie James Dio)

Genesis (Peter Gabriel to Phil Collins)

Journey (Steve Perry to Everybody Since)

Van Halen (David Lee Roth to Sammy Hagar)

I'll post my answers later...

3. Genesis

4. Black Sabbath

5. Journey

Genesis

Black Sabbath

Journey

My list matches one of these first 3, but I'll wait for a few more opinions before I post mine.
Niels is the only one thats different in the first 3, so if you match "one" of these, I'm guessing your taking Niels side on this...  which is wrong by the way
It's NOT wrong, taking my side!!!
What's really funny is that no matter what Rjhog's list is, it'll be wrong. Imagine that.
I must be blind (not directed towards you Niels).  I didn't realize that 3 answers were the same.  Disregard my previous reply.

1. Van Halen

2. Genesis

(Large gap in between these- not huge fans of these last three)

3. AC/DC

4. Black Sabbath

5. Journey

I somehow missed this thread a few years ago. Anyway here are my pics:

1-AC/DC-I think it is pretty much indisputable that they were the biggest. Back in Black is pretty much as big as it gets

2-Van Halen-I actually like some of the Van Hagar stuff. People forget how many albums they sold.

3-Journey-I am not a fan but the question was who was the most successful. They definitely had their share of hits.

4-Black Sabbath-I actually prefer the Dio stuff to the Ozzy stuff and they had some success with RJD but there simply was not enough material to compare to the Top 3 bands.

5-Genesis-A lot of hits and success. I am not a big fan of this band but like some of the early stuff.
