Classic Rock Bottom

It's time for another survey.  This time I'd like to know which album that was released in 1983 can you not live without.  If you want to list some honorable mentions from 1983, go right ahead.  However, please make sure that you state exactly what your favorite album from 1983 is.  Genre does not matter at all.

There were a lot of great albums released in 1983, but for me it's got to be:

Def Leppard - Pyromania

Honorable Mentions:

U2 - War

Journey - Frontiers

Aldo Nova - Subject

Ozzy Osbourne - Bark At The Moon

Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil

REN - Murmur

Rick Springfield - Living In oz

Saga - Heads Or Tails

Zebra - Zebra

Big Country - The Crossing

Dokken - Breaking The Chains

I could go on, but I'll stop!!! Too many to mention!!!

I left off Night Ranger - Midnight Madness, that was a big one for me in 83.

Oops. REM, not REN.

I thought that was some underrated band I have never heard of...

I'll tell you guys why I'm doing this later on, but for now, I'm thinking "Z" for Mike M.

Bryan Adams - Cuts Like A Knife.... Easy answer for me for loads of personal reasons ... But what a great year for music!!

Metallica--Kill "em All is probably the top, but then again...

Ironn Maiden--Piece Of mind

Pink Floyd--The Final Cut

Def Leppard--Pyromania

ZZ Top--Eliminator

Yes--90125

Marillion--Script For A Jester's Tear

Talking Heads--Speaking In Tongues

Y&T--Mean Streak

Huey Lewis & The News--Sports

The Greg Kihn Band--Kihnspiracy

Big Country--The Crossing

Accept--Balls To The Wall

John Cougar Mellencamp--Uh-Huh

Billy Idol--Rebel Yell

journey--Frontiers

Ac/Dc--Flick Of The Switch

Blue Oyster Cult--The Revolution By Night

Rolling Stones--Undercover

Zebra--Zebra

Jon, you named some more good one's! I'm familiar with all of those except, Accept. 90125, is an excellent album, with a lot of hidden gems. The Bryan Adams Scott mentioned, was very good as well. I'm sure we could go on, 1983 was a Great year for music!

IMO 1983 was kind of a "weak" year, especially compared to 1981.

But a few more albums:

Dio : Holy Diver

Black Sabbath: Born Again

Uriah Heep: Head First

Rainbow: Bent Out of Shape

KISS: Lick It Up

Cheap Trick: Next Posision Please

You had to be the first one to mention Kiss, didn't you?

Need to add

Thin Lizzy--Thunder And Lightning

Pyromania.

I forgot something and now I'm in a bind.

Raven--All For One

or

Metallica--Kill 'em All

Hmm...I'm going to have to change my pick for album I cannot live without to.................

Raven--All For One
