We have kind of let this thread die, so let's bring it back to life. Let's have everyone chime in on their Top 5 Debut Rock Albums of all-time. There's only two rules:
1. Must be an artist's debut album.
2. Must be a rock album (no R&R, Rap, Country or Gospel). You guys know what I mean, I don't have to explain it further, right?
Here's mine to kick it off:
1. Van Halen - Van Halen
2. Guns N Roses - Appetite For Destruction
3. Boston - Boston
4. Heart - Dreamboat Annie
5. Lynyrd Skynyrd - (Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd)

1. Cheap Trick - Cheap Trick
2. Van Halen - Van Halen
3. Guns'N'Roses - Appetite For Destruction
4. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
5. Ten - Pearl Jam
Ten was on my short list. And I absolutely knew Zeppelin's debut would be on your list.
1. Van Halen--Van Halen
2. The Doors--The Doors
3. Metallica--Kill 'Em All
4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience--Are You Experienced
5. The Cars--The Cars
You and Jon both had the Cars...they were also on my short list. I had a hard time choosing between Skynyrd and Foreigner for the 5th spot.
Is Christopher Cross allowed? It's not a band.
The rules do not forbid solo artists. Did you even read them Jon? The only possible rules violation would be whether or not he was a rock act...but I say he's easy listening rock, so it shall be allowed.
Oh, I'm sorry. I misread it as saying "Must be an bands debut album" but it appears I don't know how to read.
That's right...and my edit button doesn't work, so there's absolutely no way I could have edited it...
