Classic Rock Bottom

In this week's VOTW (a little early, for some reason), there are 3 video's: A new video, a classic and a request from RJhog.

We'll start with the new one: "Teutonic Terror" from Accep's new album "Blood of the Nations".

Blood of the Nations is Accept's twelfth studio album. It is the band's first studio recording since 1996's Predator and the first album to feature Mark Tornillo. It is the first album without Udo Dirkschneider on vocals since Eat the Heat in 1989. This is also the first album to feature guitarist Herman Frank in 26 years.

The classic is Nine Inch Nails with "Starf**kers inc." from their 1999 double-album "The Fragile", and imo their absolutly best album.

The song was released as the fourth single from The Fragile. Although the song does not have an official halo, a promotional edited single for "Starf**kers, Inc." entitled "Starsuckers, Inc." was distributed with exclusive radio edits, and this video for "Starsuckers, Inc." was produced.

The request from RJhog is Shaman's Harvest with "Dragonfly".

Shaman's Harvest is an alternative metal band from Jefferson City, Missouri. This is a single from the album "Shine". The single came in at number 40 on Sirius Octane's top 40 countdown late 2009. The single peaked at #34 on Billboard's Rock Songs chart.

Thanks for posting my request Niels. I really like the song and the video is kind of cool as well. Watch for this band on my next outing for NMC.

I'll watch the other two videos as soon as I can and tell you what I think. I've never heard either song or seen either video.
Yeah, it's a good song. I like it too.
We need more Accpet in this world! Love Udo, but Mark does a hell of a job.
The Accept track is pretty good. Different from Udo, but if you want Udo, you can always check out his rather awesome band U.D.O.
Okay, I know nothing about Accept or NIN. Out of the two, I like Accept better. I guess I'm a bigger fan of the melodic rock genre than either of these two genres. I guess Accept would be considered heavy metal? I'm not a great at getting genres correct. And is that Marilyn Manson at the end of Starsuckers Inc.? Is there a connection? I do prefer the performance clip from Accept as well, although I'm not quite sure why a band would be playing in a junkyard with small fires burning (this coming from a Kiss fan, remember the Lick It Up video?). Thanks for posting Niels, as you and Jon and Scott are exposing me to music I've never heard.
Yes, it's Manson at the end. I'm not REALLY sure, but I think that the NIN-frontman, Trent Reznor (He IS NIN!!) produced Manson's first(?) album, and had a great influence on him, and they were friends at some point, but not anymore, I think.
Yep, Accept is metal. Metal as metal can be. Metallic. Metally.
Anyone who can perform a song called "London Leatherboys" and make it rock has to be METAL!

By the way, I added the Accept video to my FB page for craps and guffaws!
