Classic Rock Bottom

Journey's latest album to date, Eclipse, was released on May 24, 2011.  It was the band's second album to feature Arnel Pineda on vocals.  And, as you are most likely aware, it didn't sell at all.  Of course, nothing sells these days, so it's really not a big deal.  Just like I'm gonna get zero readers tonight, because the Super Bowl starts in five minutes.  But none of that matters, my thoughts are that the album is slightly better than the previous effort, Revelation.  It starts off with a couple of very nice, epic tracks, but then just fades into the background.

Here's the deal.  Arnel is a nice guy.  No doubt about it.  But Steve Smith and Ross Valory are back in the band, let's just go ahead and get Steve Perry and Gregg Rolie back in there (Cain can stay, Journey can have two keyboard players) and be done with it.  It's time, before someone else bites the dust.
