Well these Tuesdays in February have certainly been eventful.
This week it is Fat Tuesday, last day of the Mardi Gras, and the last time to party like crazy before Lent begins the next day.
I'll have songs relating to Mardi Gras, naturally- beginning with the New Orleans legend Professor Longhair, and his classic that pops up every year for the Carnival.

It's not often when one of these things falls on the day of the show...so I will take full advantage of it.
You will most certainly know it is Valentine's Day by the time I am finished, lol!
For me, the centerpiece of this show is a set of music I thought to play decades ago.

I'll close out the Beatles For Sale album with a couple of Carl Perkins songs.

February 7th 1964, 48 years ago TODAY, the Beatles arrived in America at New York's JFK Airport!
2 days later they did their first live performance here on the Ed Sullivan show.
And that quite simply changed music forever!
What better way to remember than with some of their Beatlemania-era early songs?

Man, I am good at this laziness!
