Classic Rock Bottom

After the Intermission, we continue with 1946's It's A Wonderful Life and the project of inserting an updated Rock & Roll soundtrack into it.
And it is true, I did have a box of tissues nearby.
After all these years, this Movie still gets to me!
I'll pick it up precisely where we left off, with the Wingless Angel Clarence learning about George Bailey, Bedford Falls, and more.
And I'll take it from there to the stirring, beautiful ending by Frank Capra, who was so good at writing and directing Movies he inspired a word, "Capra-esque".
By the way, what was Clarence's last name, and what did he write in the Tom Sawyer book he gave to George?
I can't believe I finally did it...what has just been an idea for so long.
And again, thanks for the help from others, particularly to Pete Fornatale of WFUV.
As always, I hope you enjoyed my effort to bring you something a bit different from regular Radio.
Merry Christmas To All, And To All A Good Night!

Here's the link to the conclusion of a Movie so terrific, so unique, so WONDERFUL, that despite all the remakes none has ever even come close, at WLSO.FM:

Oh boy....

Mike, how many times have you seen "Titanic"? Please oh PLEASE don't tell me you saw it in theaters something like 30 times! I've seen that one 1 1/2 times and that was enough.

Well thanks for posting these shows! There is always a song that really knocks my socks off, I just need to hunker down and listen to every damn one!

Merry Christmas to you as well!

Scott,
That first song is a beauty, Elaine Silver from 1992 I think.
I LOVE that Fogelberg song, my favorite by him!
Yeah, I'll take the Golden Pell for that one.
And I'll take my WINGS!
And I'll also keep that $8,000 I found...some dope must have lost it, LOL!
Funny line on your part, the Golden Scott!
Merry Christmas my friend, thanks for all the listening you've done with me,
Mike

The first song was great, very nice. EVery other somg was a-ok, but the first was one that stuck with me.

Now that I listened, why bother watching the movie now? I know what's gonna happen!

Love the opening excerpt paired with the first song.  Heres why...

Mary stays home barefoot and pregnant working in the house, George works late every night (I wonder if that relationship with Violet had anything to do with that, hmm....), and then everyone digs into the war, several becoming successful at the business of war.  And then there was Harry, the most succesful person mentioned wasnt a business person but rather the one that shot down the most enemies.  Didnt realize the violent undertones of this movie until this series; a wonderful life indeed!  And then our hearts can be opened once again...  hahahahaha...

Nice pick on the Fogelberg track!  Been a long time since Ive heard that one, fit really nicely in this context.  Golden Pell?

Merry Christmas and Great series Mike, you really did get your wings!  ...  Now where did I put that $8,000.00 ...  arghhhh!!!
