ROCKOLLECTIONS: 1967 AND THE SUMMER OF LOVE PT.12

Having done that whole show for the 45th Anniversary of Sgt. Pepper, I have been avoiding the Beatles in this 1967 And The Summer Of Lover series.
I cannot any longer, as one of the year's highlights took place June 25, 1967, on LIVE Television.
Anyone who saw it will never forget it!
That is the centerpiece of this chapter.
And virtually all the rest of it will have some sort of a Beatle connection, while keeping within the parameter of the chosen year, 1967.
This is a good episode, with things you may not have heard or even thought of in quite some time- and again, an authentic slice of what we were listening to in that amazing year for Music.
Let's begin by gathering around the Television...on the Radio, lol!

Here are those links to get to Mike Pell Rockollections, you owe it to yourself to listen, lol:

Hey Jon,

RJ,
The 2nd Eleanor Rigby cover was by the Vanilla Fudge, and that's a cool pick for the Golden Pell.
It is a valid example of what we were listening to in 1967.
That's odd, this was your least favorite of the series, and I thought it was one of the strongest.
Maybe it is the Beatles...ah well, different strokes for different folks, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Dang, is it still 1967?  Just kiddin'.

Seriously though, and I hate to spoil the party, but this was my least favorite of this series.

I will give a Golden Pell though.  Unfortunately, I listened last Friday and don't remember who or what.  But the GP would go to the Eleanor Rigby cover, and it seems like it was the second one you played, but I'm not sure.

Regardless of my lack of praise on this one, keep 'em rockin' brother.

Well from now on surprise me when you actually get an album.

I can't take the tension...my impatient anxiety and more...waiting for you to listen, lol!

Surrealistic Pillow is still just a thought, an anticipation of songs to come!
