ROCKOLLECTIONS: 1967 AND THE SUMMER OF LOVE PT.9

Continuing our celebration of the 45th Anniversary of 1967 & The Summer Of Love, a return to its birthplace, San Francisco.
I'll begin with the FIRST actual hit song to come out of the San Francisco Rock scene.
Bet you haven't heard this one in a long time!
Then some familiar-name bands from the Bay Area, including the one, in my opinion, that best bridged the Progressive Rock gap with mainstream Music.
And I'll end this episode with some groups you may have heard OF, but never heard PLAY.
Including the Beau Brummels, Moby Grape and the Chocolate Watchband.
Some excellent music in this one, so give a listen.
Oh...and this Series would not be complete without at least one mention of a Love-In, lol!
Enjoy!

Jon,
Without Surrealistic Pillow, you don't even have an ADEQUATE music collection!
Hey c'mon, I hardly sang that time, lol!
They like it if I bring the halves of the show in somewhere around 28 to 28 1/2 minutes.
I had a feeling I would run long in the 2nd half, so I cut it to make it exactly 28 1/2 minutes.
As it turned out, the 2nd half goes 29:12!
They can deal with it, lol!
There's hate on Marty Balin?
For what?
I got one more song by him I've been holding on to, waiting to play when the time is right.
I used to listen to druggie music, just without the drugs.
I would get a natural high, lol!
Thanks for listening and writing, and leave my singing alone...I might stop!

Well, a couple things:

1) guess I don't have a great music collection since I don't have Surrealistic Pillow

2. STOP THE SINGING

C-Why'd you cut into the last song?

*-How come they're so much hate on Marty Balin?

P.S.-I forgot something else, but it must not have been important

Oh yeah-Seriously....this was all druggie music!
