Classic Rock Bottom

This is a Series that should have started last week.
But every time I sat down to do it, I couldn't get it going.
Maybe emotions were involved.
And I will share some of them with you, if only in these first two episodes.
Last week's Valentine's Day was the 6th anniversary of my ex-girlfriend Angel's death.
What a day to have your life end!
Wait a minute, is there a GOOD day?
I will commemorate Angel with a musical exploration of Rock & Roll Angel songs (with a few diversions into other areas, probably a short trip to the movies).
The Music guarantees this will not be morose, or an exercise in self-pity.
Above all, this will not be a wake, unless you count it as an Irish one, and she was most definitely Irish with the name Murphy.
And one helluva beautiful, fun, sexy, smart and tough lady.
Don't know what she saw in me for so long!
We will be all over the place for this and the next chapters- as I am no respecter of decades or genres- and I don't know how long this Series will go.
I think it may be kind of long though...as I hardly think I will ever deal with this topic again!
That said, I invite you to join me in the celebration of a life- along with the Archangels, Cherubim and Seraphim.
The first order of business will be Calling All Angels and Making Contact!

I like this show but I was going to beg you, to beseech you, to give you a crapwad of money to NOT play that Aerosmith song. Alas, alack and anon, I was too late. Sorry folks, but that song makes me physically ill.

Other than that, outstanding stuff, even Dave Matthews who I can't stand. But the one track I REALLY liked was Van Morrison. I belive I have this track. I can listen to it WHENEVER!

Nice if you were to play "Sent By Angels" by the Arc Angels. See? Even the band name has the word "angels" in it! How could you go wrong???

Nice show Mike.  I immediately think of 3 songs with the word angel in the title:  Angel by Aerosmith (check), Angel Eyes by The Jeff Healey Band and Seven Spanish Angels by Nelson and Charles.

I thought all of the songs were quite nice, but I especially liked Angel by The Dave Matthews Band.  I also liked that first song called Angel, but couldn't quite make out who the artist was.

But the Golden Pell must go to my man Jimi.  That's right, I've never heard that song Angel before, until now.  Thanks bro.

Everyday is a good day!  Even those days when memories flood in, those are gifts that keep on giving, I bet you smiled way more than not when you think of her (you can hear it in your voice)...

Don't you just love those songs that just never grow old but rather, get better and better with each listen?  I have some of those as well.

How did I know that Aerosmith would make an appearance!  Got to give Van Morrison the Golden Pell here, although it was a bit mellow and slower than the others, it did have that certain something...

Nice show and nice series!
