Classic Rock Bottom

In this episode after a few opening tunes, I’ll get myself in trouble by playing two songs remarkably by the SAME group from the SAME album!
How about THAT?
You should know them, and if you care, I took them from a grand old vinyl album.
These songs- publically played and having anything to do with her- would have gotten my butt kicked by Angel, lol!

And prompted by one of them, I’ll tell you a couple of stories that I still think are funny, despite my rather bizarre humor at that time (which actually hasn’t changed much over the years)- including one about my very first date with Angel.
A lunch date that ended with…well, that shameless humor.
Because of what I said to the waitress, I wonder if the censors allowed this story on terrestrial radio Tuesday, lol?
To end the last half of this first full show, a wonderfully appropriate song, accurate even to the number of years involved.
Many more Angels to come with our Music!

Jon,
I'll guess the Winter Song.
Jesus, you and RJ are like the Hatfields and the McCoys, lol!
As for me, I am a Met fan, but it's still cool to talk to an ex-big-league ballplayer.
This is funny:

And what's wrong with folks that dance on tables? I do it for a living!

Got underwear full of $5's do ya- at least I HOPE you wear underwear, LOL?
Thanks for the listen and writing, and the laughs,
Mike

RJ (did I get it right?),
The Dialogue? Do you mean me just talking and rambling on, lol?
Would have played more music if I hadn't talked so long, but I thought you might pick the Neil Young.
The Golden Pell Classic...I LIKE it!
No kidding, that's your favorite J. Geils Band song?
Don't feel bad you you didn't think of it, that's what I'm HERE FOR, LOL!
Must have been a nice little surprise for you then, which I always like and try to do.
It doesn't happen often, two songs from the same album, back to back- at least not when I am doing a Theme- but those two were exceptional.
That WAS YOU I was trying to mention, and did you know that about that Angel group?
Seems you know everything related to Kiss, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and the NEW award,
Mike

I like that Angel song. Ha! Guess which one!

Sadly, there's a couple strikes:

1) You mentioned Kiss

2) You mentioned the Stankees

3) Hell with it. You mentioned RJ, yet in a roundabout way.

STRIKE 3! YER OUT!

And what's wrong with folks that dance on tables? I do it for a living!

Another nice show Mike, especially the dialogue.

I liked all of the songs you played, but this is the first of a new award.  From time to time, there's not a "new to me" song that I necessarily feel deserves the GP, so from time to time, I'll give out a Golden Pell Classic, which will be awarded to a song I already know.

This week that Golden Pell Classic goes to the J. Geils Band for Angel In Blue.  It's my favorite JGB song and I can't believe I didn't think of it for the subject matter.  And I didn't mind hearing two songs from the same album, back to back, at all.
