Classic Rock Bottom

As we continue with our Rock & Roll musical exploration of Angels, I will take you on a trip through the years.
And being a man of limited ideas, since we opened Part One by Calling All Angels, I thought we would do it again.
We'll also hear a few of the Ladies do their songs on Angels- including a gut-wrenching matter of Social Commentary.
If you like them, believe in them, it seems that Angels are not just for crackpots- there are many stores devoted to them, and prestigious universities teach
courses in them, including Harvard Divinity School and Boston College.
Join me for a very interesting mix of Music from different decades in this episode.

Corrections? Me? No way. I stand by everything I wrote. Drunkenly.

Hahahahahaha...aw c'mon, you dish it out.

I looked at your take on Pt.4, see some corrections I have to inform you of.

Must be that 9 hour time tunnel you fall into, lol!

That last comment from you? Hated it!

You ARE a fogie Jon...that's why you hate so many things.

Sad when you get old...even before your time!

Fogies. Fogeys.

Guess it would be "old fogies". Just didn't look right.

Jon,
Where the hell were ya?
Happy to intro you to the Martina McBride song, it's a terrific one.
I played Delores O'Riordan because she is hot and she is Irish- I am a shameless Ethnicist, lol!
Its a good thing you like a lot of the old songs I play.
Otherwise it would have been you I was pointing my finger at...OK PALLY, LOL?
While old songs do trigger memories and thoughts, in that chapter I played 4 oldies, 1 from the 90's and 3 from the 2000's.
So it would be a stretch to call me a fogey!
I occasionally have an Oldies Attack and I enjoy them immensely, plus it keeps people off guard...that element of surprise!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and as always being a wiseass, lol,
Mike

RJ,
Hey didn't anybody like Train, lol?
Ssssh on that song, I have plans for it.
And the Golden Pell goes to Teen Angel by Mark Dinning- the song I like least in the half, lol!
But a lot of people love it.
My favorites were the Crests, Roy Orbison and of course that Martina McBride song- that's a beauty.
And I always enjoy Iris Dement.
I thank you for the listen and writing, as always,
Mike

For me the best song was Martina McBride. Even though she's country, it's not really a country song. That lead singer from The Cranberries? Bye. BYE. Leave. Go. Stay away. I beg you.

And who was that "old song" spasticated moment for? I like a lot of the old songs you play. Old foggies like you need to play your old stuff to bring back memories (if your brain ain't shot) and I admire you for that.

Another nice collection of songs on the subject Mike.  But hey, you haven't played Undercover Angel.  I would figure that would be a must (but for the life of me I can't remember the artist).

Golden Pell goes to...Teen Angel by Mark somebody.  This song has that great 50's style vocal harmonies.  Just beautiful.

And I know Martina McBride is a country artists, and we don't have many country fans here at CRB, but she has an absolutely "angelic" voice, not to mention that was an emotional and beautiful song (I've heard it so no GP).
