ROCKOLLECTIONS: BACK TO THE RAT RACE PT.2

Using the Rat Race to make Money for Christmas Gifts, etc. for this Holiday Season.
A friend wrote me a while back with a suggestion for a song to end the Series with.
Two things- first, I think I have a better pick to end it with, as is so often the case, the ending came to me first when I started the Series!
Second, the Series isn't ending with this show.
But I thought I'd play in this Chapter what was really a terrific choice by my good friend, but in a slightly different form because it is overplayed on Classic Rock Radio.
After that, I went all Free-Form, taking songs for a set that made surprising sense when I was finished with it.
Then ending the show with an offbeat selection that felt right.
And no, it's not the better (in my mind) Series ender, lol!
Enjoy, this one's a true Mixed Bag!

Nah Jon, you chuck writing out like it's nothing.

But it IS a stuff that happened to pop into your mind at that moment!

Now keep things like Terry Jacks & that other guy from popping into your mind, LOL!

I spent many, many, MANY hours on it, yet it looks like I spent absolutely no time at all and just wrote a bunch of crap that happened to pop into my mind at that exact moment.

Thank YOU!

RJ,
Did you notice the difference in the version I played by The Who?
They've done the world's greatest rock song TWICE eh, lol?
Yeah he's a really cool dude!
I even listen to his suggestions, lol!
Hey I expected you to like those 2 country tinged songs that opened Part One.

Listened today.  Didn't make any notes.  But I didn't need to.  I liked everything you played.  But since you played the world's greatest rock song right off the bat (a strong case could be made that Who Are You by the same band is the world's greatest rock song), you really didn't need to go any further.  I wonder who that good friend might be?  He sounds like a really cool dude.

There is always the possibility that we are pathetic anyway!

Comment by Jon on December 11, 2014 at 2:04pm

Yeah, it's really not too exciting. if it was, we would be reallt, REALLY pathetic.
