ROCKOLLECTIONS: BACK TO THE RAT RACE PT.2

Using the Rat Race to make Money for Christmas Gifts, etc. for this Holiday Season.
A friend wrote me a while back with a suggestion for a song to end the Series with.
Two things- first, I think I have a better pick to end it with, as is so often the case, the ending came to me first when I started the Series!
Second, the Series isn't ending with this show.
But I thought I'd play in this Chapter what was really a terrific choice by my good friend, but in a slightly different form because it is overplayed on Classic Rock Radio.
After that, I went all Free-Form, taking songs for a set that made surprising sense when I was finished with it.
Then ending the show with an offbeat selection that felt right.
And no, it's not the better (in my mind) Series ender, lol!
Enjoy, this one's a true Mixed Bag!

Jon,
You really like those Rat Race shows, or are you being...GASP...sarcastic?
This was definitely an eclectic half, and gave me great enjoyment doing it.
A meeting of the minds here, I too was struck by the use of the word "copacetic" in the Tom Waits song.
I can't think of any other.
I was worried, just a bit, about how they would feel about the "jerking off" line in there.
Here in NYC copacetic was a word my parents and other adults used, never much by us kids growing up.
I had no idea what "copacetic" meant either, but you learn by tone and context.
Have you posted your L/F album pick that will fit in quite nicely with my theme?
I haven't made the connection yet, but maybe I missed the post.
Again, I am flattered and not just aware, but doubly aware, lol!
And I'll give the final word today to Jon...oh wait...he has no final words today!
OH NO, DAMN!
Give me time to figure out the L/F album, if I can't I'll ask.
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

You scared me, I thought this was the final show of this. That's not the case, though. That's cool.

This was an eclectic show.

Is that the first song I have ever heard that used the word "copacetic"? I think so. Ain't that a gas! I remember a group of friends and I using the term "Everything is copacetic" for awhile. At first it was funny, but then it was silly because I had no idea what "copacetic" meant. I was young, you see, and had never seen that word in a book. Now I now, but I still don't use that phrase, unless someone really pisses me off.

Did I say my L/F album pick will fit in quite nicely with this theme? I did, but I'm mentioning it again, just so you're doubly aware. A little bit of self-promotion doesn't hurt.

Sadly, I have no final words today.

Except for this.
