ROCKOLLECTIONS: CALL ME MISTER PELL PT.2

Well I am getting those Oldies out of my system, and maybe coincidentally also had my ear fixed, lol!
But there are many hard-core Oldies people I know who think Music changed for the worse- ended even- with the arrival of the Beatles.
I like dipping back now and then for a show or two.
More songs with MR. in the title!
But that doesn't mean this is a Men Only Club, which I will prove.
Included is a song that didn't seem so bad an idea to play, but while I was listening to it I realized it was one of the WORST songs I have ever played on the show, lol!
I noted that and apologized, but there is no going back, no do-overs!
See if you can pick it out!
For me, the two best songs are the two next to last, and the second one surprisingly happy for what it says...hahahahahaha!!!
I must thank my Closer Than A Brother All-Time Pal Mike Hennessy for a pristine copy of that song.
To be continued.

You are correct sir!

I do need to watch it...for the first time, lol!

I'll keep an eye out for it.

Yeah, he might be damaged. You need to watch it again.

I thought so, but that's about all I remember.

Well maybe the guy is a damaged veteran, something like that?

Yeah, that's REALLY important since it kinda explains what's going on, in a way.

For some reason, I remember a flight of stairs in a house.

That important?

Yeah, you need to watch that movie straight. It'll make you stoned by the time it's over.

RJ,
Right off, I think I agree that this was better than part one.
But that song WAS one of the worst I've ever played, I was cringing while it was playing, lol!
Ah hell, I go live- if I screw up it's still better than hearing the same old songs programmed into a computer.
It's real!
I actually thought of you and Gene Simmons when I played that Gene Summers song.
Would have been great if it was something Simmons did early in his career.
So the Golden Pell to Thank You Anyway Mr. DJ by Lou Johnson.
Definite Sam Cooke vibe in there.
Think I would have given it to Summers though.
No wait, the Bobbettes for I Shot Mr. Lee.
That song is nuts, LOL!
It's so damn hot here, I haven't done anything for a second show.
Guess I'll do it now.
Thanks for your dependable listen and writing,
Mike

Jon,
That's what I am probably saying.
I used to love to tape a movie, and already half in the bag slosh down a number of brews while watching.
The unfortunate part is that I frequently would not remember the ending, or even much of what I saw, lol!
If it comes up on premium cable again, I'll watch it.
Till then, I have enough to do to distract me from fretting over the "Mr Postman" part, lol!
You DO make sense!

Hey, I thought this show was better than part one.  Even that song you said was one of the worst you've ever played.

I was gonna give the Golden Pell to Gene Summers (I thought you were gonna say Gene Simmons at first), but then you played Thank You Anyway Mr. DJ by Lou Johnson.  And that one get's the GP.  Really cool song and I got the Sam Cooke vibe as well.

Nice show Mike.

Yep, "Jacob's Lader" came out in 1990. So you're saying you watched it drunk and don't remember it? Well then. You just need to watch it again so you can see the "Mr Postman" part. Makes sense since he's a mailman, at least it makes sense to me....
