Like in Part One, I'll have a big Hit Song Done By It's Writer that may have eluded your ears.
You will know more songs in this half, as I was not so much out there in the Heavens.

RJ,
That IS a great song by George Wurzbach, don't think I've ever played it on the show.
And the piano bit at the end and in the middle sounds to me like Piano Man, after he says who do you think helped Billy Joel marry Christie Brinkley, lol!
Another clash of titans, Jon likes the Four Bitchin' Babes, you didn't.
As I told him, I have to play more of their funny songs!
You should have heard that song before, it was a BIG hit for Bette Midler!
And you should have heard that next one, from the great Blood, Sweat & Tears album from 1969, not a clunker on it, and that song got played a bunch on FM.
Nice call on the  Doobie Brothers, I forgot the beginning and thought I was playing Do It Again by Steely Dan, lol!
Well we are not all alike at all times, best song of the half hour for me was Iris Dement.
And the Golden Pell to George Wurzbach for I'm God.
God pick...er..Good pick, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Jon,
You were the first guy I thought of when the song mentioned the '69 Mets, and it is a great line, lol!
I lost you after that because nothing could compete with a song mentioning the Mets!
I did a whole Series on Baseball just a few summers ago!
No Bunnies or Eggs, except for the 31 Egg subconscious references scattered throughout the shows!
Love this, it's dramatic- I sigh in my disbelief.
Hahahahahaha!
I have to play more of the funny songs by the Four Bitchin' Babes.
THERE, I SAID IT, LOL!
I am famous for my profanity!
Go Mets!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

That first song was great.  He came up with a bad line.  "We wrote it in six days, and on the seventh day while he was resting, I changed the line".  Was that piano bit at the end a nod to Cheers?

The Kinks were pretty decent, usually are when you play them.  Can't say I cared too much for the Bitchy Babes.  I've heard that song before, maybe not my them, and I just never cared for it, even though it has good lyrics.

But that next song has a great, laid back groove.  Some groovy horn work.  Bluesy jazz fest.  I immediately know that next tune by The Doobie Brothers.  Nice. The final track by Iris Dement didn't really work for me, but other than that and the BBabes, it was a good show.  Let's see, I'll give the Golden Pell to the opener.

Well, since the first song mentioned the Mets, the rest of the songs were meaningless (but in a good way).  How can you compete with a song mentioning the Metsies? YOU CAN'T!!!!!

Hey, that would be a brilliant show! A Mets show!

Alas, alack and anon, no mention of bunnies or eggs yet again.

I sigh in my disbelief.

You know what? Those 4 B*****n Babes are still good. I've liked every song you played be them. Sorry about not completely spelling out the name but I'm not one of those damn people that swear and I sure as hell won't become one.

So.........METS!!!!!!!!!
