I did Voodoo, now let's have some Hoodoo!
And again, with all those spells, curses, etc. that we've been concerned with, I must warn you to watch out for Potions.
Do I believe in this stuff?
NO!!!
But the mind is a funny thing!
Trick Or Treat and Happy Halloween everybody!

Wow, I am surprised.

I'm gonna have to go back and give a listen.

Nice research!

70-74 and 6 albums for the post-Green, pre-Buck/Nicks. There were 4 peter Green albums and yet there's a TON of comp discs. There's some really good songs from 70-74 and it's interesting there's nothing about those years on one comp.

RJ,
I played that Sha Na Na opener for you, lol!
And see, I knew the kids would get you more in the mood for Halloween!
It's funny but both song titles were spelled this way although I would have gone with yours- Somebody Done Hoodood The Hoodoo Man and I've Been Hoodood.
Something Following Me was the way I like them, obscure but from a group everyone has heard of, and good!
Once again, the final song gets the Golden Pell- Otis Redding for Trick Or Treat.
I am evidently keeping you waiting, and that title was the reason I ended with it, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and Happy Halloweeny to you and the family,
Mike

Oh Jon, you get the sound effects I sent you?

Jon,
Although that was Sha Na Na to open, the original by David Seville WAS the guy who did the the Chipmunks.
When I first looked at the freeze of Love Potion #9, I thought it was Weird Al, lol!
Interesting version, but I don't think they added anything to it.
Kinda why I dropped out in the mid 80's, lol!
You're right, that didn't sound like a song from the 40's, and just barely the 40's.
I went to our main drag here in Bay Ridge, 86 St., Tuesday morming, and I saw they strung the Chrismas lights across and over the street.
They aren't lighting them yet, but I was shocked- for chrissakes it wasn't even Halloween yet!
I saw you posted that Fleetwood Mac song on FB a few weeks ago, so I know you like it.
I was already thinking of playing it, so you ticked me off, lol!
Post Peter Green, pre Buckingham/Nicks Fleetwood Mac isn't that long a period is it?
That's my memory, so I wonder if it warrants a compilation?
Thanks for the listen and writing, and liking it a lot- you've been nice lately, what's wrong, lol?

Good show Mike.

Pretty much liked everything today.

Best songs for me were Love Potion No. 9, Somebody Done Hoodooed The Hoodoo Man (or something like that), I've Been Hoodooed, Hypnotized (Fleetwood Mac) and Something Following Me.

That being said, I'm giving the Golden Pell to Otis Redding for Trick Or Treat.  Perfect title for this episode and a really cool song.

Happy Halloweeny!

Did you forget The Chipmunks in that first song? Either way, it gets you head to boppin'.

Love Potion #9? How about this version?

You're right. For a song from the 40's, that didn't sound like a song from the 40's.

Went to Walmart yesterday to kind of look for Halloween candy, and it was all gone from the aisle it was in a week or so ago. In it's place was Christmas stuff. I still need Halloween candy, will probably go back tomorrow and try to find where they're hiding it.

I really, really like that Fleetwood Mac song. I would like to see a compilation of post Peter Green, pre Buckingham/Nicks Fleetwood Mac. I have most (if not all) of those albums but they need to be remastered. There's some really good music during that era.

Even though there were some older songs on this show, it didn't sound dated. I liked it. I liked it a lot.
