ROCKOLLECTIONS: HOME FOR THANKSGIVING 2016 PT.2 END

The Holiday is getting very close as people are making there way Home For Thanksgiving.
Something about Thanksgiving brings out the Farmlands, the Country Roads, Country Comforts for this City Guy!
Maybe because it seems a prettier Trip Home.
Or maybe it's just the Vegetables, lol!
So a brief trip Down Home.
Plus Music for Traveling Far Away, A Peaceful Place, and finally a Sit Down to A Norman Rockwell-like Thanksgiving Dinner!
What's better than that?
Here's a great quote by Frederick Keonig for this Day Of Gratitude:
"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have."
Happy Thanksgiving everybody, we all have our own Horns Of Plenty if we take the time to realize!
And I Thank You!

RJ,
I was surprised by how many people didn't know Junior's Farm!
It's tough for me to choose between So Far Away by Carole King and Dire Straits, even though they are so different.
Hadn't thought about it too much, but I do return to Rick Nelson and Dion pretty regularly, and now you know why, lol!
Trying to make the case their music was always valid, and they were not given enough credit for it because they were part of the 50's!
That David Roth song is a beauty.
Ok, let's go with Rick Nelson, lol!
I love home too, it's my Fortress Of Solitude & Bachelor Pad- and where we go for comfort!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

I have really taken a liking to that McCartney song Junior's Farm.  I'm sure I had heard it before, but even though I've usually liked most of his hits, I've never done much digging.  One of these days I'll do more, I guess. And I really, really like that Dire Straits song.  What a beauty.

Easily, the two most interesting songs that I had never heard before were the Rick Nelson track and the song by Dion.  That is two artists that you play regularly and I always enjoy what you play by them.  Looks like I've got two more names to add to my "need to dig" list.

Closer was good.  Tough choice between Dion and Rick Nelson for favorite track in this half.  Let's go with Rick Nelson.  By the way, I love being at home.  Don't really wanna be anywhere else in the world.
