ROCKOLLECTIONS: IN PRAISE OF LAZINESS PT.2 END

Man, I am good at this laziness!
Gonna open the 2nd half with a song that was a big hit in England in the 60’s- not over here.
But if you were listening here in those early FM radio days, you should have no trouble remembering it.
If you had to pick, what is the best time of day to be lazy?
I’ll give you my musical answer.
Later in, I played a song from an album called Twin Sons Of Different Mothers.
I had noticed both Engineer Ken and I were wearing Beatle shirts…different ones, but still…and both black!
So are we Twin Sons Of Different Mothers?
I doubt it, lol!
But THAT was odd- it’s not like I call him and tell him my fashion statement of the day.
This is too much writing for a lazy guy!
Let’s just say I played some damn good music regarding our subject.
And I reverted to an old tradition from when I was a kid and always brought the music to parties, something I have done before on the show, I ended with one of my 2 favorite groups- seemed like a good time to do that again.
Let’s drink to those of who are into sloth, raise a glass to the lazy from birth.
And enjoy the music!

Here's the sleepy old link to hear the conclusion, at WLSO.FM:

Jon,
You have never been funnier than with this one!
Leave the dandelions alone and just drop some acid.
Or drop some dandelions, lol!
Thanks for the laughs,
Mike

I listened to this last Friday, and don't know why I didn't respond until know. Not laziness, I guess it's just forgetfulness. It's something.

I liked this one better than the first, seemed this one had a bit more bite. First one was incredibly mellow, so mellow I wanted to go to a field and lie in the dandelions and stare at the clouds. Then drop some acid.

This one, from the Small Faces to, yes, the Moody Blues was more spunky. So spunky I wanted to run in the same field as above and mash down all the dandelions. Then drop some acid.

Ok, I'll send one or two- and I just finished those 6 promos.

Frankly, I think you should download my shows and burn them to CD...to have for posterity, lol!

We can't have your computer slowing down at work and stopping your production.

But hey, just blame ME!

Hope you enjoy the Beatles & non-Beatles.

They hung the moon...did you hear...LOL?

Send it my way, I'll take a listen.  Meanwhile, I'm gonna go back to downloading your show (Michael Andrade's too) as a podcast and listening on my iPod.  Everytime I try to listen at work, it slows my computer down so badly I can't get any work done.  That's not good, so I'm gonna try it this way again.  I just downloaded the two covered by the Beatles shows from this week, I'll be listening to them tomorrow.

RJ,
Good, my lazy show put you in just the right mood.
I played Lazy Sunday by the Small Faces, and it does take place in the afternoon.
Sundays used to be lazy for me, but have become not so much as time goes on.
Which reminds me, I haven't answered this because I had to do 17 voiceovers in the past two days.
And I have 6 more to do!
If you want, maybe I'll send you one just barebones...no music underneath, no visuals, etc.
Give you a peek into some of what I do.
I'll SAY it, Susan your ex-wife was LAZY, LOL!
THERE!
Gordon Lightfoot is always a good choice for the Golden Pell, so I accept it proudly.
Or he does, lol!
It's called Lazy Mornin', and I feel the same way, except it makes me want to go back to bed.
It was an old show, and I think I took it from Lightfoot's Old Dan's Records album- and that title song incidentally is twice as good as the one I played!
If I can find it, I'll send it.
You really have a LOT of catching up to do with Gordon, lol!
Thanks as always for the listen and writing,
Mike

Just finished this one up.  Man, I'm really feeling lazy now.  Speaking of feeling lazy, the ideal lazy time for me is Sunday afternoon (didn't you play a song about that?).  I have always loved laying down on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon with an old western movie playing on the tv.  That's perfect.  It's something about the background sound that it provides.

Lazy Susan?  My ex-wife's name is Susan, so I'll say no more about that.

Golden Pell goes to..............

....maybe I should have you guess it.  But then again, this is an old show and you may not remember what you played.   So I'll tell you, it's Gordon Lightfoot and Lazy Morning.  That song is fantastic.  And it made me want to kick my chair out of the way and lay right down on the floor for a nap.  Do you know what studio album that song is on?
