ROCKOLLECTIONS: IN SPRING, IT'S MATTERS OF THE HEART PT.2 END

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals, Devils 3 - Rangers 2.
I couldn't be more pleased!
I don't know if you noticed, but back when I did this show I had far more vinyl records than CD's.
And listening to it now I can tell we played at least as many of those wonderful warm records- if not more- than those cold, fidelity-challenged compact discs, lol!
It's all Heart songs again, with more wonderful quotes about them.
I will say this, one Eagle led to another, and I played the other McGarrigle song by Linda among other things.
And I ended with a very surprising song, but one that lyrically said what I wanted.
Fun to hear my working with my old friend Engineer Ken Stanley.
All YOU have to do is enjoy this, and it's a wrap, lol
Happy Heart!

RJ,
Jon is a free-thinker alright, very enjoyable, lol!
I think I said something about Getting Hell To Freeze Over with the Eagles!
So the Golden Pell goes to Linda Ronstadt for a song she did that I first heard and was written by Kate & Anna McGarrigle.
I gotta find that original.
It's true though, when you were a kid if you hit a wall or a car with your bicycle and bent the wheel, throw it away...NOTHING you will do will fix it or keep it from wobbling!
It is done, finished, gone, sayonara, bye bye, out of here, etc, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and have a great weekend too,
Mike

Jon,
Glad you liked this one, and funny line by you, (no Elvis!!!!)...hehehehehehe!
The Linda Ronstadt song is gorgeous, but you should hear it by the ladies who wrote it, the McGarrigle Sisters.
If I can find it I'll send it.
Yeah, I hate when songs are overplayed- but that is relative to the listener.
What may be overplayed for you may not for me.
I hardly listen to radio anymore anyway...seems I am too smart or something, lol!
Been hitting the poetry.
One other time a woman said the same thing about Ken Stanley.
But she had finally heard him in the background, and I guess no longer thought he was my imaginary friend or engineer, lol!
If you listen closely to the old shows, many times you can hear him.
Great that you liked the last song!
It was a departure, but that it was is so cool about free-form, it's whatever you think of.
And that is what today's radio lacks, nothing SURPRISES you!
Thanks for the listen, and writing the usual laughs...a fig newton...hahahahaha,
Mike

I actually liked part 1 better.  But then again, Jon and I are always on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I loved the first two songs.  Don Henley has a great voice and I really like his solo work as well as his work with the Eagles.  And The Long Run is a fantastic album, top to bottom.

I think you only played 3 more songs after that, and although none of them really moved me, I'll give the Golden Pell to the lady that was next to last.  I wasn't crazy about the song itself but the lyrics were quite touching.

Have a great weekend bro!

And the last song was great, total departure but fit right in!

I like this one a bitt better than the first (no Elvis!!!!) and that Linda Ronstadt song is absolutely gorgeous. Eagles I can live with or without, that song is kinda meh for me, was overplayed on a bar I used to go to.

Oh and stop the poetry. You're making me think you're smart or something!

Does Ken Stanley exist? Is he a fig newton of your imagination? Hmm....
