Classic Rock Bottom

Here's the first chapter of what will be two weeks of simple fun.
I will return to the Angels for one more concluding show, but this caught my eye.
It was Celebrate Your Name Week, a holiday established in 1997 by American Onomatology hobbyist Jerry Hill.
Hill prescribed the first full week in March as a week for everyone worldwide to embrace and celebrate his or her name.
It's also a week for appreciating names in general, and to have fun getting to know more about names.
There are seven components that comprise the Week: Name Tag Day, Namesake Day, Name Fun Facts Day, Unique Names Day, Learn What Your Name Means Day, Middle Name Pride Day, and Genealogy Day.
Yes, it's a WORLD GONE MAD, LOL!
In this 21st Century, the most common names for boy and girl babies are Jacob and either Sophia or Emily (depending upon the source).
But if you combine the 20th and 21st Century, the Most Popular Names are mercifully still John and Mary!
So there's the premise for this short Series, Songs For John And Mary.
I'll start with John- no Male Chauvinist, just doing it Alphabetically...right, hehehehehe?

Here are the links to my selected John songs, with Mary coming next time, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

A Quality over Quantity thing, that's a good point Scott.

However it is possible to have both, at least in your own eyes...or should I say ears!

And Jon, a Kardashian?
HUH???

Aw Jon, there you are going off again, lol!
It's because you are a unique rapscallion that one would say "his music collection only".
A likable one though, lol!
Hey, what happened to the "H" in your name?
JON...it means YOU wouldn't qualify for the show, lol!
Can I buy a vowel?

RJ,
Is Jon's music collection much bigger?
I can't really say.
But since he is such a likable rapscallion, I wonder what's in his collection, lol?
So don't feel bad, I think I would be more comfortable with your collection.
It has popped up a few times that our tastes run similar- with Lightfoot, some country & folk stuff, etc.
Man, I was dragging last night, was a long day, and I am embarassed to say that I never even noticed that it was Elton "John", lol!
I just meant because it was about John Lennon.
Wow, that shot right over my head!

"his music collection only"? what's that mean, ya sick puppy!

I'm sad that you wanna go through Jon's collection and do a show and not mine...of course, his music collection (and his music collection only) is much bigger than mine, so it makes sense.

You know I mentioned the Elton John song because of who it's about, not because of Elton "John", right?
