ROCKOLLECTIONS: MAKING A MOUNTAIN OUT OF...PT.2

Looking at that picture, I confess that these shows were originally called Making A Mountain Out Of A Fat Guy, a rather coarse play on the expression about making one out of a molehill.
That long, unwieldy and insulting title has been shortened.
Guess I have tenderized over the years, becoming the sweet, lovable host you have come to love, lol.
I will continue in this chapter our exploration of Leslie West and Mountain.
Plus the beginnings of their Jack Bruce connection- he of Cream fame.
They already had Felix Pappalardi who produced Cream, and the great Corky Laing joined the group!
Bruce's Theme For An Imaginary Western is in here.
As well as a song about Max Yasgur's farm, where Woodstock was held.
Got a personal story about my favorite album by the band, Nantucket Sleighride.
By the way, do you WHAT a Nantucket Sleighride is?
You'll find out here!
Like good guitar work, you'll like this.
Enjoy!

Jon,
Yes of course you are smart for remembering, especially on the drugs, lol!
I thought you would be yelling "WHY ARE YOU PLAYING A SONG FOR FATHERS DAY IN LATE JULY?"
But you handled it well, lol!
The group was Chicory Tip by the way, for your happy face and dancing pleasure.
Hey, I like Roll Over Beethoven, and I don't hear that many covers.
And with that Cream substitute (that white powder stuff?), you made the same mistake as me- it's Theme FOR An Imaginary Western!
Thanks for listening, writing and the laughs,
Mike, Lovable Host

Nope no google! It was actually in that book I mentioned. I must be smart for remembering, right??

RIGHT?

This was another good show with a little curveball thrown in at the end with Chic-O-Stic, really poppy and happy. Made me want to put on a happy face. Yayyy, yippeee! OOOOOH and I just gotta DANCE!

Now to be put a damper on the whole parade, I am so tired of hearing "Roll Over Beethoven". How many friggn' times does that song need to be covered???

Never noticed that, but "Theme From An Imaginary Western" DOES sound like Cream. See you teaching more????

Yep, I'm on the drugs again.

GOOGLING! That BASTARD!

And there I was...thinking he was smart or something!

I should have known better!

I am STILL delusional, LOL

Jon,

"becoming the sweet, lovable host you have come to love"?

It was a delusional moment, lol!

Nice going lad, very brilliant answer.

A whale was harpooned, and left to run wild while everyone hung on until his strength ran out.

That picture of you doesn't do you justice, lol!

Oh, and I believe Nantucket Sleighride is when a fish (maybe whale) is hooked or whatever and decided to swim around, towing the boat. Just guessing.

Let's see if I'm right!
