I'll close out the Mardi Gras, but will be staying in New Orleans for another show next week.
The opening song in this 2nd half may surprise you- a B-side of a single by a guy you surely know.
Then an authentic New Orleans Indian group doing a song for Mardi Gras (we talked about them in the 1st half), with the leader of the group, Bo Dellis, declaring himself a Big Chief.
That made me think of an Instrumental...and...well you know how my mind works, lol!
More notable and Pioneering New Orleans Musicians in this one.
Including what I consider the Musical First Family of the Big Easy.

Well they do surprisingly rock
But not enough for me to want them, lol!
Check outt She and Star Turtle. Both are basically rock albums by him.
If you don't, well then. I guess your collection just ain't complete.
Jon,
Yeah, no more Mardi Gras but some New Orleans Greats in Rock & Roll.
I don't know, maybe Connick, I don't really consider him Rock.
Especially compared to Fats, Little Richard, Lloyd Price, Lee Dorsey, even Louis Prima, LOL!
I got a Connick Christmas CD this year- it was sadly awful!
I expected more, I LIKE the guy.
Thanks for the listen,
Mike
Huh? You hope to be back next week?
And no Harry Connick Jr. Got two rock albums from him, you know.
There are no birthdays today
