ROCKOLLECTIONS: ONE MORE FOR THE RECORD

There were too many good Songs About Records left over to leave them out.
So I thought I'd come back and finish it up.
There was one vinyl single I placed close to me a long time ago, just in case I ever did a show about Records.
Bad move, lol!
Included are some songs about doing everything possible for a Hit Record.
And then, having established a new lifestyle, trying to get Another Hit.
Hope you enjoy this.
Next, I'll move on to something else containing Records!

I only got an F---------x10 because you went off on a nutty non-existent plot twist, lol!

Yes, but you also got an F---------x10. That's failing at failure.

I thought you were from Jersey Jon, even as I was writing that.

A hard man to please, but I got an A+...couldn't be prouder, lol!

Let's see how I do later tonight.

RJ,
I liked everything in there too, but while I'm not distracted I do feel like crap today.
Think I caught a bug or something- we have a warm day, then it's in the low 40's at night, like every night close to the 30's- I don't know what to wear anymore, have to dress for 3 seasons, lol!
That song by The Raspberries is a bit long, but I am a sucker for those fake endings, and the tune has some great hooks
The Golden Pell to Margie Singleton for Old Records- the one I would have missed had I not skipped a week.
See Jon's writing, lol!
I had never heard it before, it's obscure, but I liked it...and thought you might too, and it would be in the running.
Nice going.
Thanks for the listen, and writing.

Yeah, I'm from Jersey yet there's very few Jersey artists I like.

Jon,
Oh man, do you have a flair for the dramatic or what, LOL?
My simple statement turned into a plot "twist", much to my own surprise, hahahahaha!
The only reason I mentioned it was because, had I not skipped a week, I never would have seen the record.
Admittedly, but having nothing to do with me, you thought of a nice batch of great twists in movies.
Which people who have never seen those movies are going to HATE you for, lol!
My favorite- Soylent green IS MADE OUT OF PEOPLE (love your emphasis!).
And damn, THIS makes me laugh- "And you waited until the end to reveal this "shocking" twist. I am so let down......."
What a character you are!
So Southside Johnny and Bruuuuuuuuce, yeah there's that connection I always think of.
You are gonna end up disliking Jersey at the rate you are going, lol!
Agreed on that Kinks album, and MANY others by them!
And the digs keep coming, even with the Dave's True Story song, lol!
THERE WAS NO PLOT TWIST...it was a simple statement just to fill my boring writing!
Good point, I should get into more Big Star.
The one redeeming opinion you made for me, and I will take a bow- A+ for the music!
Thanks for the listen, and I loved the make me laugh writing...you're good!

You know, I liked everything, but I think I'm a bit distracted.

I really like that song by The Raspberries but it's a bit too long, almost annoyingly so.

Golden Pell to that last song, Old Records.  Very cool.

Sigh. What a complete letdown. I was expecting more then the record being misplaced. I thought it either melted, was broken or became possessed and flew around the room.

But, no. It was simple misplaced. This ranks up there with some of the silliest twists in movies:

Darth Vader is Luke's pappa

Soylent green IS MADE OUT OF PEOPLE

Bruce Willis was a ghost

Planet of the apes was just future-earth

Rosebud was a friggin' sled

It wasn't Jason killing, it was Mrs Vorhees

It wasn't Mrs Bates killing, it was Norman

The chick was actually a dude

See? All silly twists, same as with your "lost" record. And you waited until the end to reveal this "shocking" twist. I am so let down.......

Luckily the music made up for it, but I am really not into Southside Johnny. Didn't like him when I was a kid, still don't. I think it has to do with Bruuuuuuuuce and how they are similar and friends.

Anyone that doesn't have that Kinks album doesn't have a complete collection of music.

I like that jazzy sultry song. It would fit nicely into a movie with an awesome plot twist (not ike the "twist" here).

That Raspberries song started and for some reason I thought of Big Star. You should play their complete first album for your next show!

A+ for the music

F---------------x10 for the silly plot "twist"
