ROCKOLLECTIONS: PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE PT.7

Since I did them in backwards order, the Past Is Last, in these Past Present and Future shows.

And I discovered a remarkable song from a most unlikely source while gathering songs for this Series.
The song even mentions Parcheesi- a game I not only have forgotten how to play, but that it ever existed, lol!
This is a Comfort Chapter, one to curl up and listen to on a Cold Winter's Day or Night.
It fits like a good old pair of shoes or gloves, with songs that should be familiar to you, and have a glow of both innocence and melancholy.
And isn't that the very definition of the Past?
I like how this Free-Form Episode turned out, even surprised myself when I played it back.
Hope you like it too!

His music is uninteresting and boring.  Eddie Trunk was once asked by Stevie Van Zant why he couldn't get into Bruce, he said it was because his music didn't really sound like rock and roll, no real rock guitars (e.g.  No distortion) and long running jams that don't offer much substance after your hear a couple of them.  Add to that the extreme left leaning politics and there you have it.  Douchebag extraordinaire...  He refused to play a concert in North Carolina because the bathrooms laws prohibited men from using women's bathrooms!  Had he just remained and entertainer I would have no issue and I could say his music just isn't for me, but since he has to impose his values on everyone he can take his fame and retire, I wish he would...

I'm from New Jersey.

Bruce sucks.

Bon Jovi sucks.

End of story.

Boy, am I in desperate need of education about American cultural prejudices.

What's wrong with Bruce Springsteen? Is that again because he is from New Jersey, like Bon Jovi? Am I surrounded here by bunch of American rednecks? Is that it? If not, then please feel free to enlighten me. I mean I get the America über alles mentality (no I really don't), but is New Jersey some sort of enemy from within?

As far as I know, Bruce Springsteen represents the American working class. And he is not a fan of Trump's. Oh wait, maybe this is just a meeting place of spoiled rich... brats? OK, I apologize for name calling. I was just joking of course, but seriously WTF is going on here? I feel like I'm outside on this matter.

A Tull and Clooney pairing, only here will that be applicable. Is it true that Karen Carpenter sings pitch perfect?  I seem to recall hearing that in the past (see what I did there?) ...  Her voice is really very stirring in many ways.

Agree, not a Bruce fan, dont like his music or his politics so Im done with him 100%...  GPell goes to Karen!

Apart from Rosemary Clooney, it wasn't bad.

If it's RC then it has to be Mambo Italiano or nothing.

Thanks for the Boss showing up when he did to save the show.

What is Rosemary talkin' about? White Castle still tastes the same. I had some a few months ago and they brought back memories. Of course they might have tasted different back in the 50's when they used elk meat.
