Over the years I’ve played Summertime, that classic Gershwin tune from Porgy & Bess, by quite a number of Rockers.
Billy Stewart, Big Brother & Holding Company, Rick Nelson, and many others.
I found one that was a surprise.
And rather than tell you, I’ll let you guess what Group it is.
You have a legitimate shot at it, as they were very popular!
I had a sudden urge to play some Summer Songs from my favorite Music Year, 1967.
Warning: Obscurity Alert, lol!
Then to close this Episode out, a few you should know.
Next week, undecided.
Maybe more Simply Summer Songs or Summer Activities Songs.

Wait...

Are you talking about the song that mentions spurs as a James Bond-type song? It kind of is, I suppose, but JB don't do spurs!!!!!!! Kind of a cool song though.

Yeah, that Monkees song is pretty darn good. Actually, they have quite a few darn good songs. People can mock them all they want. They're stoopid.

Why do I need to keep an eye on summer this year? Is something going to happen that I should know about? Sounds pretty ominous.
