ROCKOLLECTIONS: TALKING TO THE ANIMALS PT.2

It’s Talking To The Animals, inspired by the Oct. 4th Feast Of St. Francis Of Assisi.
To help us do so, A Trip To The Bronx Zoo, one of the best in the world.
And we will return and roam through the Zoo in the forthcoming weeks as this is officially a Series.
There are just too many Songs About Animals!
If you go in through the Fordham Road Entrance, the first thing you’ll come to is a Pond, and it’s got Seals!
That’s a tip, lol!
And I'll have Birds and other Species!
Let’s Enjoy The Creature Comforts, lol!

Yngve,
Oh man, loads of songs about Animals!
I think Jon alluded to the “other” Henry Mancini, what’s the buzzing bee?
Wait, is it Bee Bumble & The Stingers?
It’s an instrumental.
Wonder if I played the Lion song in the next Chapter, no I couldn’t have- no instrumentals!
Oh that horrid song about a hippo for Christmas?
Think I played it once, must have had a GOOD reason, LOL!
I don’t see me playing it now, it ain’t Christmas, LOL!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Jon,
Might you mean the Pink Panther, lol?
I’ll play that when I go back to Instrumentals, good thinking though!
I think ahead, nothing’s wrong...hahahahaha!!!
I’ve heard that about San Diego.
No kidding, of all places, Omaha!
The trouble with the Bronx Zoo and why I haven’t gone there in so long is it’s in the FREAKIN’ BRONX, LOL!
Too far away.
A zoo in Jersey?
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

People sure like to write songs about animals.

At the time when I was still making mixed cassette tapes, I had 10 x 60 min tapes all about animals. That was then. Now, I could easily double that. So, there is certainly enough material out there.

I also remember the most fun we had at a music class. One day, the teacher brought in his Record player and five 45's. They were all instrumentals, and each song was about a different animal. After he played the song we had to guess which animal it was. Out of those 5 tracks, I only remember the "other" Henry Mancini track, which was easy to guess and the one about the buzzing bee. I can't remember the rest, except that one of them was about a lion, just can't remember which one.

I do hope you play that "your kind of" song, sung by a little girl (what's her face?) about a hippo.  This is my wish so, don't disappoint me... or you get nothing from Santa, eh?

You played Henry Mancini but not a song about a colorful cat?

What's wrong with you?

Talking about zoos, I've been to a few. You know what the most overrated one is? The San Diego zoo. You know what one of the best one's is? The Henry Doorly zoo in Omaha. Yes, Nebraska.

Been to the NY one, don't remember much about it. There's one in NJ too (or there was) believe it was the Turtleback Zoo?
