ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE CYCLE OF LIFE PT.3

In the past week, we have grown up quite a bit- we can crawl, stagger, walk, get into mischief, even dance.
Our parents have dreams for us, and we might even have our own.
These are good kids, nice ones.
Enjoy it while you can, it doesn't last long!
We'll be moving into the Teenage Years before you know it.
But first, Some Quality Time With The Kids!

RJ,
Well you still have good taste, lol!
I thought you might like Paxton's Katy more this time since you've gotten to know him bettter now.
And I agree, the Lennon song is just terrific.
But my man John Sebastian is in there too!
Thanks for the 2nd listen and writing, 2nd listens are fun for me because I forget what I played- and sometimes I am very impressed with myself, lol,
Mike

Jon,
You being in a haze sounds familiar, LOL!
That's as much as you can say?
Is it me or the flu?
Feel better buddy,
Mike

Here's what I said when I originally listened to this:

I really enjoyed that show Mike. Almost every song is new to me. I love all the songs, but especially the ones directed towards the vocalists sons, because both of my children are boys. "Katie" and "Dancing Boy" were great.

Probably my favorite from this show would be John Lennon's Beautiful Boy. That is one incredible song, and although I should be familiar with it, I'm not. You see, I've just never been much of a Lennon fan. But I am starting to come around. Sooner or later I'll get around to more of his music.

I absolutely loved the Neil Diamond tune. He is such a great songwriter.

I also liked Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen. Along those lines you could have played Only Sixteen by Dr. Hook or Christine Sixteen by Kiss, but those may be themed more toward the Lolita perversion.

One other song that would have fit very nicely would be Billy Joel's "Lullabye (Godnight, My Angel). Have you heard that song?

I stand by that original comment after listening again.  I liked Katie even more this time, cool lyrics.  And I still think the Lennon song is just terrific.

This show definitely sounded familiar. Something about "kids" sounds really familiar. I'm still in a bit of a haze with this flu, it just won't go away and I like it!

Enjoyable show. That's as much as I can say.
