RJ,
Don't trouble yourself, artist or song I usually remember what I played.
But in this case it was longer than  6 months ago, try 5 years ago, lol!
That Springsteen song Walk Like A Man, for some reason I forgot all about it when I did the long Series on Weddings last Summer.
But that just proves how organic the show is, I have no lists to check off.
While it may seem odd to people, I understand how you can have that CD but not spend any time with it.
We just have TOO MUCH damn Music, lol!
Cats In The Cradle by The Storyteller Harry Chapin touches a lot of people- I have one by him I played at a Thanksgiving party at my house that left tough guys quietly weeping.
Don't think I'll do that again, lol!
But I HAVE to play it some day on the show!
Yes, get on that- seeing your father before it's too late.
If you don't, you'll have to live with regrets for the rest of your life.
Glad you enjoyed I Choose You by Martha Trachtenberg- I think it's a beauty!
Thanks for the re-listen and writing,
Mike

Hey Mike, first off I want to clear up the Springsteen song that I said I like from the previous show. It was "Growing Up", which you said was from his first album. When I listen, I jot down artists names that you play that I like, but I guess I should change that to song names, 'cause I can't expect you to remember everything you played yesterday, much less 6 months ago. So I'll change that up starting today.

You have some big names on this show (Springsteen, Chapin, Cat Stevens and The Beatles). Again, I really like the Springsteen song "Walk Like A Man". And I actually have that CD but haven't spent any time with it.

"Cats In The Cradle" by Harry Chapin may be the saddest song I've ever heard. It reminds me that I don't see my father nearly enough, and we live in the same city. That's ridiculous on my part and I have to change that before it's too late.

And I agree that "I Choose You" by Martha Trachtenberg is a very nice song, and you are correct, I've never heard it. But I have now, so thanks for that.

Jon,
Not so fast, I went off on that Trachtenberg song this past summer, when I did all those Wedding shows.
What...the second song?
Forgot what it was, lol!
And that song was not played during the Wedding shows, a late realization.
Then there's this: Never heard that song about a cat in the cradle though. It's like he's telling a story or something.
You KID ME, you devil you, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Yep, this one was very familiar and all because of what you said about that Trachtenberg song, who is not related to Michelle Trachtenberg. Of course we won't mentione the second song, but the rest was nicely good.

Never heard that song about a cat in the cradle though. It's like he's telling a story or something.
