Well, I thought for the first 20 or so minutes of the show that I'd have a hard time picking a Golden Pell winner, but once you played that Batman & Robin song, I had no trouble with my decision. Seriously, I think it was Batdorf & Rodney, but I didn't figure out the song title. That song has a great CSN sound, don't you think? Beautiful. I'm pretty sure you've played them before, but I don't remember if I liked 'em or not. Does all of their music sound that good?
The other songs that were in the running were The House That Jack Built by Aretha (I was gonna award it to this song) and Run For Home by Linda's Farm (just kiddin' again, I think it's Lindisfarne, and again, I'm pretty sure you've played them before).
And I loved the two "known to me" songs, Billy Joel's and The Beach Boys. Both great picks. And unlike Jon, I'm looking forward to the "home" songs for Thanksgiving.
Great series bro.
I guess they were flowers for the concert or something, maybe they had them on the stage, but the next day they were garbage. Kinda sad, really. They could have given them to the Detroit homeless who could have sold them for a nickle.
Briggs Stadium? I have no idea.
The first part of this wins. WINNER, Part 1. Of this. One. Here.
Hmm....I see. Quite a few songs with harmony vocalling I must say. Guess that's just what happens, I suppose, maybe.
The karla Bonoff song was quite good, but the next song? It was who? Huh? Couldn't unnerstand what you said. Plus the last song, I think it was from Backdoor & Blowhard? Huh? Who? What?
Aretha Franklin had a concert years ago at the old Tiger's Stadium and the next day there were thousands of flowers outside the stadium, ready to be tossed. THey allowed us into the stadium to take pictures since it was going to be torn down eventually, but the amount of flowers was just incredible. Jut sayin' don't know if you're interested in that at all, I'm just taking up space typing stuff to make it look like I really care about stuff and things.
The only song that really didn't grab me was the one right before the Beach Boys. I dunno, it's another of those songs that make me think of kitties and puppies in cages.
Good show overall though, but last week WINS! And are you seriously going to play these same songs on Thanksgiving???????
There are no birthdays today
