Yeah, it does take time but if you do a few here and there, you'll eventually finish.
Sounds easy enough, but we have huge collections don't we?
I don't know, I'll take a look, still sounds like work, lol!
I don't even know anymore what I have!
No. You just need to set up an account with allmusic.com (for free) and when you click on an album, at the top there's an option in orange to "Add To My Collection". When you click on that it changes to red and it is then "In My Collection". There's also a collection builder where you type in the name of the band and all their albums come up and you just add those that you own.
I am not even sure what a spreadsheet is.
Is this a list of ALL music you have that has to be typed?
Impossible!
It's easier to load your collection on allmusic then doing a spreadsheet. It helps if you're somewhere and have a brain fart when you see an album and you're not sure that you own it or not. You're not uploading your music, you're just keeping track of that albums you own.
I don't think I've ever heard that Cream song or The Band song on the radio before. Maybe I have. I have them both, but actually don't think it's possible to remember everything I've heard on the radio. Is it?
I could swear ytou played that DLR song on another series before. But, it might be like that radio thing. I can't possibly remember everything you've played on your shows before, can I?
Talking about dusting off, I'm in the process of loading my collection on allmusic.com (thanks in a small part to me, they came up with a way to enter in what albums you own on their site) and I have come across stuff I forgot I had and/or haven't listened to in a very long time, probably because I forgot I have 'em, so I'm slowly starting to listen to stuff I guess I forgot I had. I forgot I had The Smothers Brothers greatest hits! That CD is fetching a lot of money! I have it! Whoo hoo!
No0w, I liked the Smothers Brothers, but I had "The SMothers Brothers Play It Straight" when I was a wee lad and it was mostly a serious album, but the last track, titles "Almost" was NOT straight and was funny as hell. I thought it would be on that greatest hits disc, but it isn't. I couldn't find the title of that piece back then so just hoped it would be on that disc. Found out later it was "Almost" and I can't find it anywhere. Not on youtube, only a minute or so sample on Amazon. It really bugs me and I can't buy that particualr album since it's OOP and quite expensive.
Why I have I brought this up? I have no idea. Just wanted to waste your time by writing something long, I guess.
Nice show. Still no APP but there's still............time.
There are no birthdays today
