Fairy Tales, what do they have to do with Time?
Well most if not all begin with, "Once Upon A Time...!"
How many Songs can you think of that have that as their Opening Lyrics?
I thought of two.
Then, while doing this Series I have discovered how frequently the word Time appears in writing and conversation.
And even more so in our minds, in that instant we wonder, before looking, What Time Is It?
Those are the topics I will Musically investigate in this Chapter!
To be continued.

RJ,
A girl I know averages 2 songs in any episode- still did, lol!
They were the hits in there and will be in the opening next show for Valentines.
Then I'll return to obscurity, lol!
Me too with that Moody Blues song, and I may have helped with Dylan's music, lol!
I've had those Once Upon A Time songs in the back of my head for years, finally had a good reasons to play them.
And I thought the next set was good, with the Jive Five and the James Taylor coming in next.
The Chicago one I took from the album, with that piano intro- I wanted to see if people would recognize it before it got to the part they know!
I was proud of that set!
Alan Parsons Project is ok with me, sometimes overindulgent.
I figured I'd play that one by them, and it fit with a chance to please Jon.
Good to play some recognizable ones sometimes, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Scott,
Don't RUSH me, lol!
Actually I heard about Clockwork Angels but I don't have it.
Any specific song you recommend?
I think Soundcloud sounds better.
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Jon,
Frank WHO, lol?
So, you are a human sundial who DOES know what time it is!
I need a watch, feel naked without one.
You predicted APP, and it was you I meant when I said Jon!
This is clever- "How TIMELY was my prediction! Aren't you glad that I took the TIME to make a guess on what you would play?"
I do have a closing song picked already, but I will probably lead up to it with a couple of songs, so Time's Up by Living Colour could be in the mix.
No promises, but it's TIMELY, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

It's funny, most of your shows feature more songs that I haven't heard than vice versa.  But this one seemed to be an anomaly, as I think I've heard more than not.  Like the two that opened the show.  Very Nice.  I've always liked that Moody Blues song.  And I've come to appreciate and even like much more of Dylan's music than I ever have before.

The middle section I didn't really know, but that James Taylor song was pretty good.  It sounded like it should be a Christmas song.  It just had that feel musically.

Then you closed it with a couple more tunes that I'm definitely familiar with.  Chicago is a band that I still want to pick up some of their early work.  And even though I'm not particularly crazy about the Alan Parsons song, it certainly fit the series well.  And you through Jon a bone, so there is that.

Enjoyed it, as usual.

You know Mike Rush's latest concept album is title Clockwork Angels and its about a Watchmaker.  Should be smack in the middle of your wheelhouse as RJ would say.  OK maybe not, but after missing the first 7 of these I felt pretty safe in naming that Rush album as I doubt it made an appearance in this series...

I must say this was a great listen!  JT, Chicago and APP were an effective tri0fecta of an ending...

Might I just add that Pod-O-Matic seems to give me trouble, so I opt for Soundcloud, its a much better tool..  IMO

I believe Frank had a song that started with "Once upon a time" and I also believe the title of that song is the same. There's gotta be others, but I'm not in the mood to think.

I used to wear a watch when I was a kid. That stopped when I was robbed at Yankee Stadium, during a game cs the Indians. Don't believe I ever wore a watch for a prolonged period of time after that. I did get a watch as a gift about 10 years ago, it went on Ebay. Have a watch that I got from an old job for 5 years of service, it's still sitting in its box. My belief was that the time was somewhere, so I was never concerned about what time it was. I also can judge the time by where the sun is. Okay, I can't, but I make people believe that I can.

Yes, someone DOES know what time it is. Other than me, of course.

And look at that! APP! I knew it! I predicted it! How TIMELY was my prediction! Aren't you glad that I took the TIME to make a guess on what you would play?

Let me throw something out there, you probably won't care but I'm going to do it anyway.

Wouldn't it be cool if the last song you play in this series is "Time's Up" by Living Colour? Might be a moot point since this series should never end, but it's a TIMELY idea, don't you think?
