Classic Rock Bottom

Prompted by March 3rd, or 03/03, I'll continue with Trios.
Remember the Girl Groups of the early 60's?
I'll have a couple that immediately come to mind.
And a Band that was a Trio that became Bigger, as well as one that was Bigger and became a Trio- not all that unusual in Rock & Roll.
To close this Episode, a Song for the Spiritual Side of this time of year.
This will be continued next week!
Hope you don't mind.
Ah, I do what I do, play what I play, lol!

RJ,
Yes, the idea for Trios is working out well I think.
I got a million ideas for shows, lol!
And another full show to go, which was my sort of arrogance in saying I do what I do, play what I play.
This rebel will not be swayed by the masses, if it pleases me it's good, lol!
Now this is sweet, the Golden Pell to Grand Funk Railroad.
Meaning by your rules I played a song by them you hadn't heard!
I like that.
Isn't that Cry Cry Cry song a beauty, particularly with that topic?
I have know it for years and knew I would play it on the show someday.
Nothing heretical about it to me, and it reaches in and touches me,
Lucy Kaplansky does have a great voice, but they all do in there.
Thanks for the listen and writing, and especially the "Terrific show dude",
Mike

Jon,
That first song by the Ronettes is cluttered and there is too much going on- it was produced by Phil Spector with that Wall Of Sound.
And it's in mono- with the vocals that would be otherwise be on left or right, just dropped out in some parts- and that is what holds such fascination for me listening to it.
While I could play the Andrews Sisters, I took enough of a risk with the McGuire Sisters.
Plus I think you are being your usual breaker self and it's not a legitimate request, lol!
If Spreaker cuts out, (and it doesn't for me), why do you listen there, why not Podomatic?
Thanks for the listen and writing, and wiseguy Andrews Sisters call, lol,
Mike

I like this subject. Golden Pell to Grand Funk Railroad with special mention for the folk trio Cry Cry Cry. Kaplansky has a great voice. Terrific show dude.

The first song sounded very "cluttered" almost as if there was too much going on. The rest of the show was quite good, hopefully you play some Andrews Sisters? Could you? Please?

Oh, and it is a spreaker issue. There was the beginning of another thought at the end of this show that cut out.
