Classic Rock Bottom

October 16th is Noah Webster's Birthday, the man famous for writing that Dictionary so valuable to us all.
One thing is for certain, he didn't believe in Wasting Words!
I love Words, I play with them all the time, making up my own as I go along.
I came across a gentleman before my time, Victor Borge- in fact what I will play is from 1947.
It's called Inflation Language, a pretty funny and inventive idea that can still be used today, and it will not take you long to catch on.
So the main thrust of this Episode is Having Fun With Words!
After that, a Song you should know and a Song you may know!
I will continue with Webster's Birthday next week, a man of his esteem deserves it, and there is no shortage of Songs About Words.
Oh, almost forgot, some brief Words Of Wisdom to close today, lol!

OH NO, I thought that was Jon writing.

Oh well, whatever I said to him goes for you, LOL!

He did screw up as I did Iron Man!

Thanks for the listen,

I agree with you, I think Borge screwed up with “tunity” but I wasn’t listening that closely.
Two shows in one day makes you an Iron Man, lol!
I don’t know much about him or by him, but that’s the first Victor Borge thing I’ve found funny!
Good point, it SHOULD be opporTHREEity, nice catch!
It’s a clever routine.
Thanks for the listen,

Wait...wouldn't it be opporTHREEity only knocks twice?

Yeah.....still not funny.

Victor Borge?

Years ago I worked at a place that took calls for a collection of is stuff. I occasionally took a call or two when they were busy and remember that everyone who ordered the set were very, very..........old.

Oh, and didn't find him funny.

That talking track was really, really weird.  But he said "opportunity only knocks once" would be "opportunity only knocks twice".  Shouldn't it have been "oppor-one-ity only knocks twice"?

Two shows in one day, not bad...
