RJ,

Another close call for the Golden Pell.

This Time, Stephen Stills and Spooky Tooth.

They are both terrific, I remember Stills got a lot of FM airplay with that song- best one on the album.

To me, the best Spooky Tooth albums are It's All About in 1968 & The Last Puff in '70.

Love that the Mamas & Papas, that was so difficult to sing so fast!

I should have one more Time to go, then stop- I could go on, there are still many songs, but it's Time to stop.

As for a section on "When time runs out", good call, I've given that some thought.

There's a good one, Time Is Running Out by Steve Winwood.

Still torn for an ending song for the Series- it's a tie, lol!

My second listen of the day.

I was pretty sure that I was giving the Golden Pell to Stephen Stills. It's such a good song. And I truly love Stills voice. But then you played Spooky Tooth. Wow, what a cool song. Great guitar. Just excellent. I really know nothing about that band, but if all their music is like this, maybe I need to take a gander at it.

I did like the Mamas & Papas stuff you played.

Jon,

Yes I am brilliantly witty, I just don't always show it because I want to get as much Music in as I can!

I had the same feeling, I thought both halves made a rockin' show.

You're witty but more of an insult comic.

Or better still, be like Triumph, with a hand up your ass, LOL!

Another uncanny prediction with the Dr. John song!
I think that Manassas album was panned, but I like it.

I love that Mamas & Papas song, and this is so you- "they were probably stoned", LOL!

Yeah that was pre- Mick Ronson, thought you'd like it.

That was a heavier sound for the Beach Boys- Dennis Wilson did much more writing of the songs on that on that album, but it is all good!

I've never seen Dirty Dancing either, lol!

It did seem like a good song to end that show with, so I went with it.

Hey, no playlist for me!

Thanks for the listen and writing, and the professional laughs,

You're witty?

When?

This was a (mostly) rockin' show. Pretty heavy. For you.

See? THAT was witty.

With that intro, I just knew you were going to play that Dr. John song.

I have that Manassas album, so I have that song.

I like that Mamas & Papas song. It kinda reminded me of Manhattan Transfer, but way before them. I don't think they were mad at each other on that outtake, they were probably stoned.

This was pre- Mick Ronson Spooky Tooth, I believe. COuld be wrong, but I don't think he was a member of the group in 1970. Killer song, though.

Seems like the Beach Boys were going for a heavier sound on that song, but that album is that heavy, is it? The song you played doesn't sound like their 60's stuff, that's for sure.

Nope, never seen "Dirty Dancing" and never will. Have heard the song you played too many times, but it was ok here. Well, I guess it was.
