Jon,

Well it could be depressing, it was a look back, and if that brings to mind mostly screwups I could see a depression creeping in.

Of course I had done the glory days, which equally should have cheered you.

Maybe it was your mood.

You know what we need here...SOME ACID...YEAH BABY, LOL!

RJ,

Does that include the Disney, lol?

That's alright, but I like Carly's naughtiness when she wishes for a very very large, big...never mind.

I might actually be saying that about Judy Collins version of In My Life.

It's tough, the Beatles & her could be a tie, harmonizing or not- and I was there, holding the ladder while they hung the moon, lol!

Another eerie moment between us, I too have felt that Tom Rush song sounds like it should be a Gordon Lightfoot tune.

But it is all closely tied together, Joni Mitchell is Canadian like Gordon, and Rush comes from up in the Boston area- almost Canadian.

You can tell when she wrote the boy skated over 10 clear frozen ponds.

Well after 1968 you could expect The Byrds to be country, but hey, I am a folkie, lol!

I'll proudly take the Golden Pell for John Fogerty (although I would have hoped for Tom Rush).

Centerfield is a terrific album, I'll have to play more from it.

And I love it when I can introduce you to a great song you haven't heard.

Thanks for the listen and writing, as always,

Mike,

Those first two songs didn't really do it for me, but fear not, the last 4 were superb.

Now, are you saying you like Judy Collins version of In My Life better than The Beatles version? I think that's what I heard. While I do think her version is nice, you miss all that vocal harmonizing by the Fab Four. Wait a minute, why am I defending the band that hung the moon to the guy that handed them the ladder?

I swear that Tom Rush song sounds like it…

I swear that Tom Rush song sounds like it should be a Gordon Lightfoot tune, but it seems like I have made that statement before on a previous show.

Full Circle by The Byrds was really folky, but what else would you expect. I did like it.

And finally, I'll give the Golden Pell to my man John Fogerty today. I've only heard the two hits off of the Centerfield album, but I've recently been thinking about picking it up. At least now I know there are at least 3 good songs on it.
