Thanks for the info boys-I've now found him on youtube and had a listen to some more of his songs-I have to say he was possibly wasting his main talent as a keyboard player-His voice is amazing.
Sadly I never came across Tony until now-or Planet P.. .and Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow may have started off in the England but, like most decent bands, defected to Europe/US where there was/is a much better audience for melodic rock!
Oh the Joys of living in the UK! We used to be Forerunners of Rock back in the 60s/70s and now we miss out on so much good stuff because all our bands get better reception somewhere else!

Okay, I have to chime in as well. That is a good song. It sounds very familiar. He has a good voice too.

Tony Carey was also the keyboardist for Richie Blackmores Rainbow on ther Rising release and couple of their live efforts. He fronted a progressive/experimental effort named Plant P which yielded him some minor success, and as Jon eluded to, much repsect from the likes of us... He has a string of solo releases that he continues to record, and he also produces with some level of success as well. A fine fine addition to this web site I must say...

And a correction...I didn't post the song because it wouldn't let me embed the code so here's the link:

Nice stuff...weren't we going to get together and do something on "Pink World" back on that other forum that shall not be named?

Susie, you may know Tony Carey from Planet P Project? Had a minor hit with "Why Me?" from that album, and a video of that song should be on the one-hit wonders thread.

Scott can go into more detail about him...don't want to steal his thunder!
