ROCKOLLECTIONS: LOVE AND MARRIAGE PT.7

I am STILL doing Love & Marriage, and will do so again next week.
Hey, you got a problem with that, lol?
There are times when I tackle a Musical Theme I can't stop the ideas.
This Episode will open with how I envisioned, if I envisioned it at all, the way I would have gotten married back when I was drinking heavily, and how it would be different today.
Certainly today it would NOT be in June, July or August!
Then after those hallucinations, something I never paid any attention to...The Ring!
There are Diamond Rings, Gold Bands, Gold Bands With Diamonds, Rules, and I discovered, No Rules At All.
So I am still just as confused as ever, lol!
But the Music will center on that, those meaningful Wedding Rings.
There was a lot to choose from.
Hope you like what I picked!

RJ,
Hey you are giving me the Bum's Rush, lol!
Is that an expression where you are or a New York City thing?
This Diamond Ring is correct.
And the Golden Pell goes to my man John Sebastian and The Lovin' Spoonful!
About time you gave him/them one, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, quick and dirty,
Mike

Gonna try and catch up on last week's shows this morning, so talk will be quick and cheap.  I don't charge a thing.

Liked the show, best two songs were Jackson and This Diamond Ring or whatever the name of it is.

As for the Golden Pell, I'll hand that out to John Sebastian and The Loving Spoonful for Warm Baby.

Enjoyed it.

Jon,
I was on the edge of my seat with that bird story.
Never mind The Leftovers, it was like a Hitchcock movie!
And I definitely would go the tin foil route- why risk losing a ring?
Not to mention you may possibly be married to the bird, and what if it is a male, lol?
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of attack however.
Good God, I hope you are still alive to read this!
As for the music, I now like the Al Kooper version better than the hit one.
Go get that &*$^*#()$ bird!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

There's a bird in the garage. Noticed it early yesterday afternoon when the painters were here. The back door to the garage was open as well as the garage door and I figured it would leave thru either of those openings, but it didn't.

Decided to close the back door and leave the garage door open late in the evening with the thought that the bird was confused, didn't know which exit to take. Waited a couple hours and then went back to the garage and didn't see or hear anything so I assumed the problem was solved.

Not so much. It's still there this morning. A camera would be nice since I could take pictures of the bird, a ring wouldn't but I could throw the ring at the bird but that would just be mean. I just don't get it, is the bird maybe a little bit slow? Is it protecting something?

I watched "The Leftovers" last night and there were birds in that as well and it kinda freaked me out. Maybe it's an omen. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of birdy today, maybe I'll climb up a ladder and wave my arms around and hope I don't fall off. Maybe if I had a shiny ring I could place it in one of the open doorways and the bird will be drawn to the shine. Maybe if I used my shining I could convince the bird to leave.

Now, if that ring trick works and the bird takes off with it, does it mean we're married? Maybe I should use tin foil instead, but maybe the bird is really smart and when it sees the tin foil it'll think that I want to cook it so it'll stay far, far away. Debating on whether to wear a tin foil hat like Art Bell, but maybe that would cause a bird attack and we've all seen that movie.

I didn't know Al Kooper wrote that song. I like it. All these songs were pretty swell, but I have to deal with a &*$^*#()$ bird!
