ROCKOLLECTIONS: VOL1: FAVES AND GUILTIES PT.1

It has occurred to me that this Rockollections show will not go on forever.

Some day, for some reason, it will end, as everything does including us.
So rather than wait to play particular songs in a Theme, or finding a reason to play them, I have decided to go for myself and just play them because I want to!
These are Favorites of mine encountered over the many years I've been listening to Music, and some may be just Guilty Pleasures on my part.
Included in this opening half are some what I named "Rock Me Out Bed Songs".
Because they literally would do just that, lol!
I invite you to my home, sit anywhere, and listen while I play some tunes for Valued Guests!

Yngve,
No laws, no rules, lol!
I LOVE doing Themes!
I can say I do like all the songs I play- some more than others- but I wouldn’t play them if I didn’t like them.
The only time I have to resort to a maybe lesser song is because of time constraints, but that’s subjective.
One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor!
And I don’t like playing all Hits.
I could talk more, but I’ve always wanted the music to do it for me, the segues that make the message.
They are countless times I run over on a show and I have to cut- now can I cut a song?
No, but I can remove some dumb thing I said, lol!
I am not REALLY Guilty about my Pleasures, that came about when I once played 2 songs by Patience & Prudence!
I have my zone, if I played a Trash/Death Metal song, I wouldn’t know it WAS a Trash/Death Metal song, LOL!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
MIke

Jon,
I’ve told it on the show every time I’ve played it, lol!
Maybe 3 times.
WHAT ROCKS MORE THAN RIP THIS JOINT?
NOTHING, LOL!
Good ears on your part though, it was a repeat.
I got caught up in Thanksgiving.
And THANKS for the listen and writing,
MIke

If there isn't one, there should be a law to prevent you from doing themed shows ever again.

I remember when I was making those mixed tapes centered around a single theme. I would start with my favorite tunes, then when I run out of them, I will fill the cassette with questionable quality.

You are guilty of doing the same. You see, sometimes I ask myself: Does he really like "this" song?

Why? Because this show was pretty good. None of these songs will qualify for MY faves or guilties, but they were entertaining, nevertheless. There is still hope for you.

And I always felt like something was missing from your shows. Now I know, it's the talk. Man, you got to talk more. Everybody can put up a playlist, but it's the talk that glues it together. You did a fine job. Don't stop here.

Although, I have to say I'm disappointed in one thing: Your Guilty pleasures. Those things should be unexpected from you, like for example Trash/Death Metal. Instead its all the same. Hate to break it to you, but they don't qualify for guilty pleasure. Try again.

Heard that watch story before. Is parts of this a repeat?

I guess that RS song rocked for the time, but there's a few songs that rock more. Admit it. You can. It's alright.

Hmmm......
