The Academy Awards are coming March 4th.
Do you care, I don’t?
I did play a couple of Movie songs anyway.
But I found it interesting they only gave out Oscars for Sound Effects from 1963 to 1967, and again in 1975!
Now it is called Sound Editing or Sound Mixing.
So for real Sound Effects I turned to Our Music, not having seen any of those Movies anyway...or even know the presenters, lol!
It became quickly apparent these Song Sound Effects can be classified by Type.
So to begin a New Series, Sound Effects For Cars!
This will be fun!

Yngve,
I am always looking for different ideas.
Throw enough crap at the wall, some of it will stick, lol!
I did play that one from 1961 by the Duals, Stick Shift.
Are you thinking of Beep Beep, which has a Horn Sound?
I will return to Car Sound Effects throughout- even under other categories- you can’t escape them?
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike
Jon,
All Spike Jones, now that would be something!
Spikeollections, lol!
That WAS funny, how dare you?
That Wings the one Howard Hughes did?
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike
And fun it was. The most one yet from you, even though I haven't heard any of these songs. The first one from the '40s was a real hoot.
I was expecting a song with car related SFX, but you haven't played it. I think it's from the beginning of the '60s or even earlier. I won't say which one, just in case you'll continue with cars.
All Spike Jones, all the time?
Silent film mention and then silence? Not funny.
Just watched Wings, it was silent. Pretty cool movie. Watch it.
There are no birthdays today
